CREED: the video game

Info Surfaces About Creed Video Games

Bullets, the latest video from multi-platinum Christian rockers Creed, is currently blazing up the charts over at Total Request Live. Why are we reporting on a music video, you might ask? Well, it showcases the character designs and setting for Revelations, a proposed Creed video game. The computer-animated clip was prepared by VisionScape Interactive, a graphics studio that also develops console games. These guys have contributed to both the Twisted Metal and Jet Moto series and single-handedly created two budget PlayStation titles, Razor Racing and Land Before Time.

Creed were approached by VisionScape after company president Matt McDonald watched VH-1's inspiring "Behind the Music" episode about the band. He was interested in featuring the band's music and likeness in an upcoming title named Revelations, so he contacted their management. Luckily, Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti is a self-professed video game freak and agreed to work on the project. The group was so pleased with the development on Revelations that they opted to use the preliminary design work for their Bullets video. McDonald hints that his involvement with Creed could even spawn a franchise: "we have another project called 'Speed Metal' which is more of a car battle racing game, and if they have a song that works with that art, then we'd love to have them be characters in that as well."

Revelations is still in the planning stages at VisionScape, as the team is busy finishing Seablade, an air/sea combat title for Xbox to be published by Simon & Schuster Interactive.

It doubt it will touch Bible Adventures, though.
