The Police are one of those bands whom I think are absolutely brilliant, but I can only stand in small doses. Does that make any sense?

Anyway, my favourite track by them is probably "Don't Stand So Close To Me" (86 version).

Cheers,

-matt

The Police are one of my guilty pleasures. Actually, I would say that they were one of the best bands of the 80s. Some of my favorite songs:

Roxanne
Every Breath You Take
Message in a Bottle
Invisible Sun
King of Pain
Spirits in the Material World
Don't Stand So Close to Me (the original)
Every Little Thing She Does is Magic

My second favorite band of all time. Synchronicity is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. It's hard for me to pick a favorite song, but Every Breath You Take is timeless. Murder by Numbers is another fave.

I'm still a fan. Synchronicity is one of the all time great albums.

My Police tunes are (in no particular order):
Synchronicity
Every Breath You Take
Mother
Shadows in the Rain (to be re-done later on Dream of the Blue Turtles)

I always loved Every Breath You Take. I remember MTV playing the video all summer in 1993 (in different colors!).

I'm sort of a fan, but not a big one. I like some of Sting's stuff and some of the Police stuff that I've heard, but I haven't heard very much.

I got so sick of their singles on the radio. I never want to hear "Roxanne" again. But, I do own all of their albums and really really like the first 3 discs. "Regatta De Blanc" is a cool recording once you get past "Message in a Bottle". Actually, it's a bit strange because I think the songs that were not singles are much better.
