Do the sneaker pimps have a song.....

....that is remotely as good as "6 underground"? I love the tune but don't feeling like culling through limewire all night for a hidden gem.

Did you hear this song on the radio? That's usually the Nellee Hooper edit - the rest of the album has a very different, bit darker tone to it. You might find "How Do", "Tesko Suicide", "Low Place like Home", or "Post-Modern Sleaze" to your liking. I haven't heard their following album though - it hasn't been released in America.

I'm a fan of the Sneaker Pimps...The rest of "Becoming X" (the album with 6 Underground) is, as stated above, a little darker, but pretty damn good. As for the second CD, "Splinter", it is decidedly different than the first, as they replaced the female vocalist with a guy, and the result is actually pretty damn good. The new CD, due out soon, is not to shabby either from what I've heard of it.

"Splinter" is quite hard to find, and if you do find it, it's expensive as all hell, and the Japanese version of it is even more expensive, but has 2 more tracks on it than the UK release.

if you, uh, would like to give the japanese version a listen, drop me an email, and we can work something out *cough*copy*coug*, because as it is a good disc, I don't feel it's worth spending the fricken $40+ to get the japanese release...

Also, if you really like the song. They have a remix cd out that has 6 underground and a few other songs with many versions.

I'd definetly want to check out some of their other stuff. Just haven't gotten around to it.

The remix album, like most remix albums, is overkill, boring, and quite silly. Stick with the original Becoming X.

I thought "Spin Spin Sugar", especially the dance remix was actually better than "6 underground". I also liked the duet with Marilyn Manson, "Long Hard Road Out of Hell".

I think the entire Becoming X CD is great. I also have Splinter and have heard an advance copy of Bloodsport. In my opinion neither one is as good as their first CD. Their other ones don't have that same gloomy feel, and the guy's voice sometimes gets annoying.

Another vote for "Spin Spin Sugar".

Thank you for the suggestions, everyone. I'll give some of these a try.
