Help needed. Intoxicant songs for comp CD

I'm in need of some funny/good songs about marijuana or beer or alcohol, etc. I'm working on a compilation CD. Right now I have about 100 minutes (which puts it at two 50 min. discs but I'd like two 60 minute discs).

Right now I have:

311, Sublime, Cheech and Chong snipet, Homer Simpson beer quotes, Cypress Hill, Bone Thugs, Bare Naked Ladies, Eminem, some songs from the FRIDAY soundtrack...

Anyone have any other ideas?

No alchol-centered comp would be complete without Reverand Horton Heat's "Liquor Beer and Wine." Then there's G. Love and Special Sauce's "Cold Beverage."

How about Afroman's "Because I Got High?"

Thanks for all the suggestions. This things gonna rule!

I'll put in a second vote for "Booze me up and get me high". Another good Ween drug song (one among the many) is "Bananas and Blow".
What about "Sweet Leaf" from Black Sabbath, a bunch of Bob Marley songs and Ben Harper - "Burn One Down".

I also did a booze'n'drugs compilation on a 60 or 90 minute cassette some years ago as a joke gift for my brother!

Sadly I can scarcely recall the track-listing and will need to ask him if he still has it!

Of course, I do remember Black Sabbath's Sweet Leaf . The intro fx are quite amusing, also.

George Thorogood - 2 Burbouns, 1 Scotch, 1 Beer

The title may not be exactly right, but you get the idea.

Actually, it's just one of each drink. That's one of the first ones I thought of when I read this thread.

"I Drink Alone," also by George Thorogood and the Destroyers would be a good choice:

The other night I lay sleepin'
And I woke from a terrible dream
So I called up my pal Jack Daniel's
And his partner Jimmy Beam
And we drank alone...

Jimmy Buffett has some good ones ("Margaritaville," "Let's Get Drunk and Screw").

Also, there's one called "What if God Smoked Cannibis"-it's a parody song sung to the tune of Joan Osbourne's "One of Us." I don't know who the artist is.

"Moonshiner", it's an old traditional but Uncle Tupelo's version is awesome. Not funny at all, but an amazing song...

A few more came back to me....

  • Reefer Madness - Hawkwind
  • Out of My Mind on Dope and Speed - Julian Cope
  • Cocaine - Cream
  • Snowblind - Black Sabbath
Not sure if you wanted the kind of "intoxicants" highlighted in the last three picks but I went ahead anyway!

Additionally, I found these lists on a drug-prevention site ( some of the songs are very old):
