Ugh, why doesn't DC do anything this cool?! The Pixies, LCD Soundsystem, The Cure, AND Basement Jaxx -not to mention the other bands that I would like- at one festival. That aint right.

Damn, this just keeps getting better and better...
In what is quickly becoming the Big Momma's House of all indie-rock festivals, Wilco and The Flaming Lips have been added to the lineup for this year's Coachella Festival in Indio, CA alongside such recent additions as ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, My Morning Jacket, Broken Social Scene, !!!, Dizzee Rascal, LCD Soundsystem, the Sleepy Jackson, Prefuse 73, (International) Noise Conspiracy, Air, and of course previously announced headliners The Pixies, Radiohead, Kraftwerk, and The Cure.
According to a post on the official Coachella message board, Stereolab, PJ Harvey, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, The Black Keys, Sage Francis, Basement Jaxx, Sparta, Electric 6, Thursday, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are among the other acts confirmed for the festival, but undecided on a specific date. As previously reported, this year's Coachella festival is scheduled for the weekend of May 1st and 2nd in Indio, CA. An 'official' lineup with dates and headliners has yet to be posted on the festival's official site.
The Streets and Weezer are among the other acts strongly rumored to be among the many, many groups playing 20- and 30-minute sets under the desert skies. Of course, tickets are a whoppin' $75 bucks per day (or $140 for a two-day pass) and Ticketmaster reserves the right to take an enormous, ass-sized bite on top of that. This year, Coachella is also requesting donations of $1 per ticket to the Indio Youth Task Force (a Coachella Valley youth assistance program), Musicians' Assistance Program (dedicated to providing treatment for musicians with drug addictions), or the Silverlake Conservancy of Music (a community music center, founded by the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, which assists Los Angeles-area children and adults with low-cost music lessons, instrument rentals, etc.)

the 20-30 minute sets are a bit off. from years past there has been a couple of main stages set up so that as one band starts a set on one stage, another is already going through theres. they try to not schedule them overlapping that bad, but it really does end up being alright over all. and big name bands will not just be up there for 30 minutes.
next week the full lineup is announced.

Oh man. I really shouldn't spend the money to go to this. I really shouldn't.
Every time I think they couldn't possibly add any more great acts, though, they do, and there should still be quite a few more bands performing.

The Jam reuniting!? What the hell? That's even better news than The Pixies! Is it true, though? This is the first place I've evern heard about it. I know it's a rumor, but if it's true, oh man. Setting Sons is one of my favorite albums ever.
Edited to add: Just went to The Jam website. Bruce is touring with Stiff Little Fingers, and Paul is starting to record a covers album. In light of this, I highly doubt The Jam will suddenly reform for a one-off show at Coachella.

Muse and Mogwai got added to the lineup.

My buddy has gone every year and finally talked me into going with him (once I saw the lineup, it didn't take much convincing)
I'm there this year! it's going to kick ass.
