No Doubt: Rock Steady
Anyone picked No Doubt's new album Rock Steady up yet? I got it back when it came out, and I gotta tell ya, it's a really cool mix of different music styles. A couple tracks are awesome to blast in your car, while others are totally reggae, and just groove. Its nice to see a band really branch out and explore different territory with their music. Anyone else have any comments on RS? I highly recommend picking it up if you havent already.

As far as I'm concerned it's terrible.
They aren't branching out in any new direction IMO. They are branching out into music that has been done, there is nothing new here. It's nothing innovative, and it is a step backwards from the direction their music was heading. Gwen Stefani did one too many duets with R&B groups. The band is useless now as most of the music on the new album was created electronically but I suppose they were kept around to play the old stuff.
