What's your favorite song from The Who?

Growing up, I only knew Tommy ... and in college, I discovered some more of their work ... but only recently did I come across their 4 disc set and realize how broad their range of styles really was.

I think my current favorite is "Behind Blue Eyes" ...

"Substitute" or "I Can't Explain"
Pete Townshend is one of the best ever.

Until CSI came on it was Who Are You. They have burnt me out on it now.
Now it's a toss up between these 4:
You Better You Bet
Won't Get Fooled Again
Squeeze Box
Pinball Wizard

Won't Get Fooled Again

It's so hard to pick just one though.

A tie between "So Sad About Us" (great pop song that should've been a single) and "The Kids Are Alright" (a great pop song that was a single, though the version with the chaotic instrumental break is far and away the better one). Hell, just 'bout every Who song has its moments...

A Quick One (While He's Away)...the version on Kids are alright.

Magic Bus is probably second.

Oh, and Substitute. That song cracks me up.

The Seeker. Not only the best Who song but perhaps the best rock song ever written.

My faves:

Baba O'Riley
Behind Blue Eyes
Won't Get Fooled Again
Tommy Overture
Pinball Wizard
We're Not Gonna Take It
Summertime Blues
Substitute
Magic Bus
My Generation
I Can See For Miles

And those who want some good stuff from John E. pick up the album "Smash Your Head Against the Wall", the first solo album by a Who member and arguably one of his best. Some good tunes from him there. I went ahead and put an order for a CD to replace my vinyl copy with yesterday to hopefully get one before they run out of stock everyplace.
