What's Bad Religion's Best Album?

I have to say Generator by a long shot. The writing and music just seem much more inspired and polished than on any of their other albums. The only album that comes close to it is Against the Grain IMO.

I'll rate the albums I've listened to below. I won't include How Could Hell Be Any Worse or Suffer because I haven't listened to them in ages, and don't really like their earlier music. And I won't include '80-85 or All Ages as they are greatest hits/compilation type things rather than albums. The New America won't be included either because I never bothered with it after The Gray Race and No Substance sucked. Their new albums is great though do to the return of Mr. Brett.

1. Generator
2. Against the Grain
3. No Control
4. Recipe For Hate
5. The Process of Belief
6. Stranger than Fiction
7. The Gray Race
8. No Substance

Wow! My list would be pretty much identical to yours...I'd just trade No Control and Recipe For Hate's spots.

The New America is truly awful.

I'd say its a pretty close race between No Control, Against the Grain, Generator, and Process of Belief. They each have a lot of incredible songs and few if any weaknesses. I don't think I can really even rank these 4, as I think they are all essential and required BR material. Most would probably be biased against Process of Belief since it just came out - and usually newer stuff can never compare to older material that fans already view as unbeatable classics, but I do believe its just as strong as any of those other 3 albums.

I'd go:
Tied for 1-4: the ones listed above
5: Recipe for Hate
6: Stranger than Fiction
7: Suffer
8: Grey Race
9: 80-85
10: New America
11: No Substance

I remember getting No Control when it was new.

i'll say:
1) suffer
2) 80-85
3) no control
4) against the grain
5) into the unknown

everything else is pretty crappy.
