Songs that condemn religion?

I'm looking for songs that dispel religion, preferably christianity. I'm not looking for a fight about religion, simply song suggestions.

"Dear God" by XTC
"The Blood" by The Cure

Almost any death/black metal. Slayer is a good place to start.

A Global Threat - Religious Scam
Leftover Crack - Athiest Anthem

Lots of Choking Victim songs that bash religion but aren't neccessarily about religion. Check out their album "No Gods/No Managers" Also they released an album under the name the Crack Rock Steady 7 called "Baby Jesus Sliced Up In The Manger". Leftover Crack has some songs on their "Mediocre Generica" album. Like Josh mentioned, Bad Religion has a bunch of songs.

Quite a few Tori Amos songs are deliberately blasphemous (and I like it!). She's very quotable, with lines like

"I want to smash the faces...of those beautiful boys. Those Christian boys. Just because you make me cum that doesn't make you Jesus" - These Precious Things

there are a coupla songs by Rage Against the Machine that talk about the oppressiveness of christian missionaries - also alot of Tool's songs are anti-religious - though "Lateralus" is sorta religious itself, though it is certainly not christianity - sort of a pre-christian, cthonic religion

It's actually: "So you can make me cum that doesn't make you Jesus."

there are plenty more...

Muhammad My Friend--
"Muhammad my friend it's time to tell the world we both know it was a girl back in Bethlehem"
"Moses I know, I know you've seen fire, but you've never seen fire until you've seen Pele blow"

Icicle:
"father says bow your head like the Good Book says- well I think the Good Book is missing some pages"

The whole song God.

There's plenty more, some take more of an explaination than others, but I don't know of that's what you're looking for since (IMO) tori tends to challenge God more than she tends to refute Him. But if you want me to name more, I can.

Pennywise - My God:

people on the street
they want to find a god they'll never know
organized religion pulls the blinds
then they pull the wool
they open up your head
they're ****ing with your mind
now you can't see because you're blind
you try to make amends
but your heads still spinning round
the church of jesus christ says it's time don't **** around
you want to go to heaven
you see it isn't free
give your money up to me

my god is not the one that you wanna to see
your god is a mirage a conspiracy
you pray for forgiveness cause your sinning
scared to death so your money you'll be giving

holier than thou with your one way morality
i think your shallow faith isn't based in reality
you don't like how were living we're sinful and obscene
why are you judging me?
you're richer than god but you're crying out for more
you're living like a king while you steal from the poor
you wanna be forgiven
get on your knees and pray
send in your cash and be saved

better hope you've been chosen to be saved
cause your empathy only goes so far today
pay no mind to those in pain
they just want the souls that are willing to pay their way

your god's not for me

Well, there's songs like Space Dog, but most people wouldn't know it's a reference to god.

One more:
"Got enough guilt to start my own religion" - Crucify

But in ther last few albums, she has become quite a bit less overtly blasphemous. Unless you count obscure references to the "ice cream assassin".

I didn't attribute that reference to religion. I would love to hear your explaination, you can talk about it here if you don't want to get into it here.

I agree that most of her more recent stuff doesn't touch on religion like the older stuff and that some of them are less obvious than others- I've always loved the Big Bird reference in Talula.

Exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. I'm not really into "death" metal, more into more intelligent, provocative music. No offense, metalheads.
