Whatever happened to the Breeders?

I've been on a Pixies kick lately, whatever happened to Kim Deal? I loved the two Breeders albums but that "Amps" project from '96 or so was just OK... but has she retired from music or what?

The Breeders are back, although the Deal sisters are the only original members remaining. They've played a few shows in the past year, including one in Chicago. I think they completed the recording of a new album with Steve Albini, but I'm not sure when that is coming out.

They must have just taken some time off to make babies and whatnot.

I believe they're playing here at the Abbey Pub in mid-Februrary.

Strange that you would start this thread... I went and saw them last night in Dallas.

They played a great show. They played some songs from Pod and Last Splash, as well as some songs that Kim Deal did with the Amps.

They played some new song also from their new album that comes out in May (I think). The new songs sounded really good. I will be picking up the new album when it comes out.

Kelley Deal stayed after the show and was chatting with fans. They played for quite some time too. Definitely catch them if they come to where you live.

Its a very good eclectic CD..

Yes, right in the middle of the show.

I figured it would be their encore, but instead they used No Aloha as their encore.
