If You Are A Billy Joel fan........

Run don't walk and pick up his new DVD. The Essential Video Collection. I am sitting here in stunned disbelief on what they have done to the sound on these videos. True 5:1 unlike the Bruce collection. I didn't expect great video quaility...but the audio makes up for the crappy late 70's early 80's blotchy video/film. And it's cheap too...got mine for 12.99.

Just bought mine from DVDexpress $14.99 + .99 S&H. Where did you get if for $12.99? I saw it at BB for $17.99 and passed. I'm glad to hear it sounds so good. Someone at Amazon said that Piano Man is from Live at Yankee Stadium (which I already have) and not the "concept" video shot for GH I&II in 1985. That sort of sucks. I can't wait to watch this. Still it is a puzzler why it would not have his two biggest later hits (We Didn't Start the Fire & River of Dreams) on it. I would be fine if there were NO overlap between it and GH v3, but there is a little (two songs I think). This doesn't make any sense to me

While we're on the subject of Joel decisions that make no sense, where is The Millenium Concert? I know it was being filmed (he even mentions it on the album), so what happened to the DVD? We definitely need a better live DVD than Yankee Stadium (which is almost unwatchable).

All for Layna is my fav. BJ song and it sounds freckin unbelievable on this disc...Pressure is also "crazy" in 5:1

I agree. That Yankee Stadium release was gut-wrenching. What are the odds of his best concert video coming out on DVD...the Nylon Curtain tour? My VHS of that release is practically fossilized at this point.
