question re: song "superman" by five for fighting

this is just naggin' me. is the song really about superman or is it being used as analogy/symbolism for something else? (i never was good at spotting symbolism). thanks for any insight!

Its used as an analogy for Parents, Caretakes, Bosses, or anyone else in a position of power where they can't really show any weakness and must be on alert at all times
