Anyone hear the new Creed?
I heard it this morning.
Still not sure, but it was pretty good. It has a strange change up toward the end.
I am looking forward to this album though. With all the bagging on this band the lyrics of human clay were just moving. But I guess many never got past the hype to understand them.

Or maybe people were just turned off by the knockoff-Pearl Jam-fused-with-Stryper vibe that Creed oozed. Not to mention one of the most amateur guitar solos ever to grace a top-40 single (yes . . . I'm thinking of that embarrassing doodle during the chorus of "Higher").
It could happen.

I think you're giving people too much credit (although, I do sense some sarcasm in your post). But I'd wager that this record sells a million in its first week.

I guess I'll stand up and say that I've been a Creed fan since I first heard 'My Own Prison'. I just love the music. I haven't heard the new stuff though.

to me, and this is just my opinion, all creed songs sound basically the same.
I haven't heard the new song. What's the name of it and I'll the station playlist for it.

I don't think Creed has a chance a million sales in its first week but it will end up multi-platinum.
"Higher" is radio friendly and a great song IMO.
The only reason HUMAN CLAY sold an extra 7 million copies was sadly because middle-aged moms heard the remix and remix and remix of pop radio "With Arms Wide Open".
Scott Stapp does have a great presence but his band absolutely sucks.
I liked the song "My Own Prison" but half of that album and most of Human Clay was incredibly bland and repetitive.
At least Fred Durst has a target audience he's going for and sticks with......Stapp wants hard rockers 1 minute, Christians the next, then Top 40 fans, and then all of their mothers put together.
And after saying all of that, I'll still probably buy the new album.

Haven't heard the new song, but since my wife is a huge Creed fan, I suppose I'll hear it soon enough.
I have to say though, I do like "My Own Prision" and think it's a really good album.

Creed is lame. Get some real music.
Its too bad radio is flooded with junk these days..
Glad to see some good songwriters finally making some waves such as Pete Yorn and John Mayer.

Something to keep in mind, this CD will be one of the first of the copy-protected CDs. I believe only Charley Pride and NSync have released records in this format so far. Since my wife will buy it, it's a good excuse for me to return it as defective -- it says CD-ROM on it, and will not play in my computer or car stereo or my Rio Volt -- as many times as they will let me. When one store won't let me exchange it anymore, I'll just move on to the next one.
For those thinking, "so what, I don't listen to any of those bands", this is right around the corner for your favorite band too.

Ah copy protection...you know I don't actually share any of my personally ripped Mp3 with anyone on the net, but I think I am going to make a nice digital copy of the new Creed to spread around.
Don't F with my ability to rip Mp3s RIAA!!!!!
