What do you think about Nelly Furtado?
I've only heard her two singles, but I was wondering what other people think about her (I kinda like those two songs) So,
Is she really talented or is she just another pop chick?
Is there more to her and her music than catchy songs?

While I may not be the biggest fan of her style of music, I was impressed with the CD overall. It's quite eclectic, lots of Latin & R & B influences, and doesn't follow a lot of the same pop formulas you hear over and over again.

Although she shines in comparison to much of the other po(o)p crap out there, she reminds me of the girl in class who was annoyingly happy every day and would not shut the f*ck up.

I've seen parts of the video for it- I thought clothes like that were only popular in the eighties
she seems like she's better than most of the stuff on the radio but that is not saying much

I wanted to dislike her for so long, I would change the channel when her songs came on, etc. But finally I gave in and decided to buy the cd for some reason. If you like those two songs you'll love the album. I think it's really good.

She supported David Gray, and I thought she was well able to work the crowd, her voice was good.
I admit that she is the super happy person. But when I saw her I had only heard one song, and I think some of the others were quite good.

I liked her first single "I'm just like a bird" but was underwhelmed when I saw her perform it at Divas 2001. Her voice isn't great but it doesn't take singing ability to make it these days.

Well she does have a few positives:
She's Canadian
She's cute
Her first hit is kinda catchy
But the rest of her CD doesn't do it for me. It's better than most crap that's released nowadays, but it's still not very good.
