Shortlist Finalists Announced

There was an earlier thread about the 49 nominees and it has been narrowed down to ten for album of the year. Let's have a poll as to who should win. In my opinion the best albums have been omitted. Check the Shortlist website for more info.

That Nikka Costa disc is damn fine, but I'll have to stick with my original selection of PJ Harvey.

I saw Polly Jean open for U2 and she rocked..........but she just won the Mercury Music Prize (on 9/11) and I have to give my vote to Ryan Adams.

Stories is a great record though.

There were some omissions as well.

If you like Nikka Costa, you have to see her live. The energy she posseses is amazing. Also, you'll notice the Roots drummer in her lineup.

Tough call between the PJ Harvey, the Sigur Ros and the Ryan Adams... but my vote had to go to "Heartbreaker". Has anyone heard "Gold" yet?

Yeah, it's different and more up-beat than Heartbreaker but it's really enjoyable.

if you get the first print it's a limited double disc with 5-song bonus disc.

New York, New York is the single and i love it.
