Peter Greene RIP
Just stumbled late across articles about this guy being found dead in his NYC apartment on December 12, at age 60. Causes unknown . . .

Some articles tonight report “injuries” on the body:

If you don’t know the name, you’ll know the face, which was seemingly born to play shady characters and outright bad guys in movies and tv. After a couple of minor roles in the early 90’s, he got some serious buzz for the excellent CLEAN, SHAVEN and then instantly jumped to higher profile fare with JUDGMENT NIGHT, THE MASK, PULP FICTION before spending the rest of his career in a mix of mostly indie movies and low-budget junk, some studio pictures, and television, largely in supporting roles or borderline bit parts. I often thought he probably stopped acting only to check IMDb and discover that he was still at it.

Yeah, I read about it the day after. I mentioned elsewhere that it seems like December is making for lost time throughout the rest of the year.
He was great, even in movies that otherwise weren't, and always felt like he should've had a bigger career.

Re: Peter Greene RIP
I will always think of him first as the Miami gun thug in the opening scene of Justified's first episode. A fantastic beginning that set the table for an amazing series.

Re: Peter Greene RIP
I first saw him in the indie film LAWS OF GRAVITY about 30 years ago. I recently re-watched UNDER SIEGE II: DARK TERRITORY.
Has there been any new info about cause of death?

Im guessing his death was likely drug related. I always enjoyed his work in the movies or TV shows i saw him in.

Awe. He played the best skeevy guy.
I think you're right on the cause of death. I believe he's talked before about some hard living.
I've been rewatching Chuck Russell movies lately. I think it in October when I felt like rewatching Nightmare on Elm Street. I'll have to make an effort to rewatch The Mask. It's been a long time.

RIP
I never saw him in real life interviews and assumed he was the guy who played all those sketchy characters and he had the right look for it.
I hated him in the Mask.
