Speculation but seeing claims it was possibly his son's doing (apparently has mental issues and severe drug problems).

Confirmed it was him and his wife, looks like a knife was used.

The Princess Bride and Stand By Me are two of my all-time favorite movies. I grew up watching him on All in the Family. I appreciated his passion for his work and his outspokenness on his political views.

What a horrible way to go. We've lost a great talent, and a good person. This is just shocking and heartbreaking.
