Re: RIP David Lynch

The description says usage unknown, possibly decoration for his music studio. Makes me think of Kramer owning the Merv Griffin set.

Either that or a midget coming out from behind the curtain speaking English in reverse.

Re: RIP David Lynch

I'm not surprised by the values. He's one of the most celebrated filmmakers. And he also had a presence in fine art.

Something that I did not know about him, was his family life. I wasn't aware he was married twice with kids. I only felt the need to look, because I was wondering who benefited from this estate auction.

I'll miss his work for sure. In addition to his films, he had some really good tracks on his two albums, and a few other collaborations.

Several of his electronic instruments are in the auction. Like all of it, the prices are astronomically absurd though.

His daughter Jennifer is a well-known director. She's probably most famous for the box-office bomb Boxing Helena (with Julian Sands and Twin Peaks vet Sherilyn Fenn), but she did carve out a decent career as a television director, with series like Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Criminal Minds, Daredevil, and Dahmer - Monster, among others, on her resume.

Terrible news. Her version of Crying is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

Re: RIP David Lynch

I know "Llorando" gets all the attention, and for good reason, but I absolutely love her song "No Stars" (co-written by Lynch) from Twin Peaks The Return. I must have listened to it 100 times the week after that episode aired. It even got me to buy her album Love Hurts Love Heals. None of it reaches the heights of those two songs, but there's some good stuff on it.

Wow that's terrible. Such a beautiful voice. Her performance in Mulholland Drive and that entire scene is for me the signature moment of the film.
