Re: Superman (2025, D: Gunn)

They've been putting him in handcuffs for years, even before the films. It makes the humans think they're safe somehow. Shocking not shocking.

The top 3 stupid haircuts for young people fall into the "Broccoli," "The Edgar," and that lame Peso Pluma do, which looks like a combination of the The Edgar and a hiptser mullet. In fact, the Skarsgaard kid in the new Crow movie has a variation of the Peso Pluma do, which made me chuckle when I first saw the trailer.

One of the best scenes in MOS is when he casually snaps off the handcuffs and most everyone in the other room recoils in shock.

Obviously they could say the handcuffs are made out of Kryptonite.

You're thinking of the material that nearly kills superman in a small dosis, but isn't much of a problem when it's an entire island?

I thought the Kryptonite was in the island rather than the island itself. Then again, it's been quite a while since I last watched Superman Returns.

First photos of Fillion as Guy Gardner. That wig

I am sure it will look better in the movie.

Definitely a choice for his costume. At first I thought they were going with his Warrior incarnation

He looks really good as Guy Gardner. The stupid haircut is comics accurate. Not sure about all of the white on the costume, though.

Hawk (Tuah?) Girl looks good, too. I'm sure she'll be even better when the CGI the wings onto her.

I'll say this about the suit. I don't like it, but guess what? I also haven't seen a trailer yet so I technically can't complain.

Also, I absutley hated the Cavill suit when I first saw it in the trialer and ended up loving it.

So for now, I don't really care about the suit....I guess with the exception of the logo, but even that already grown on me a little.

I know they haven't CGI-ed the wings yet and she's mostly turned away, but Hawkgirl's costume might make Superman look good by comparison.

I like the Superman costume personally. Maybe needs better fitting but otherwise to me it looks great. Classic style outfit. Not sure I get the hate for it. Cavill’s suit was more modern and it grew on me but I prefer the new one.

The S placement/size looks off to me (Cavill's was perfect), but I do like that it's returned to the cape.

People complaining about Corenswet's size, as if Christopher Reeve didn't have the physique of a middle-aged dad who just discovered jogging  (he still looked great! But I think some people are a little too used to the geared-up Chris suite)

Also, I just noticed that Guy Gardner, Hawk Girl, and Mr. Terrific all have matching costumes, with the highlight/piping color swapped out

They also have the same insignia that is seen on some Maxwell Lord signage- what looks, or could be interpreted as a J , L, and I .

As a middle aged dad who picked up running last year, all I can say is you sir owe Christopher Reeve an apology.

Now look at him in the suit with no pump. I mean geez, even look at his chicken legs there. He'd get roasted on Fitstagram. Now he obviously still looks fantastic, but it's so weird to see some people call this guy (who is definitely on gear) "noodle arms"

He looks really good there! Barely any of it shows through in that suit.

Yeah, I figured that out.

I guess my point was less about what Christopher Reeve looked like in comparison to whats-his-name and more how he looked in comparison to actual real life "middle aged dads who just discovered jogging". As one of those said middle aged dads, I wish I looked as good as Christopher Reeve looked. I don't really care what a bunch of body shaming internet fitness weirdos think.

Re: Superman (2025, D: Gunn)

I am surprised by all the handwringing going on by some behind the scenes and what appear to be unofficial photos of during production action scenes. We all know movies nowadays are heavily edited and "enhanced" down to people's fucking eyebrows.

Let's wait on the trailer and see stuff how they mean for the film to look. THEN get excited for the movie. Then BE disappointed and bitch when the entire movie comes out.

You guys are two steps ahead!

Ecactly! How do we know he's as "super" as they say if we can't see every rippling, hard bulge of man muscle coming through his clothes?

The thing for me is, he's just a lean guy, not very strong, but that's ok and is a perfect build for Supes. I think Cavill struck the perfect balance when it came to size as well - I don't like seeing them to roided up (Reeves of course was not on roids at all).

They were filming here in Cincy today at the Union Terminal, which likely will show up as the Hall of Justice. Pretty cool seeing a Metropolis flag flying on the flagpole.

Principal photography has wrapped.

Still has many months of post production and possible re-shoots. So this still has a long way to go from being ready. Basically about a year to get this done.
