I've never seen it. The stills I've seen are really creepy.

Re: Nosferatu
I saw it in a big cinema with live orchestra playing at a film festival 8-9 years ago, and boy it was cool to see that way, except for the hipsters in the audience who kept laughing at bits that weren't actually funny, always kind of spoils it when an audience thinks they're too cool for an older movie. I still think the vampire scenes are some of the freakiest ever filmed, and boy, so influential.

I watched one of my copies last night. A few years ago they played this with a live orchestra at the Walt Disney Hall in DTLA but tickets were $100 and I couldn't justify the cost.

Re: Nosferatu
This is one that can never be improved upon since half of the creepy factor is the technology of the time.

Re: Nosferatu
Yeah, I was struggling to find the right wording. There can be equals, and probably even better versions of the story but the 1922 version is just so creepy, in large part because it was made 100 years ago - and looks like it.
