Looks like a fun time. I was a big fan of the Foo Fighters at one point, but haven’t listened to them regularly for a while. I’ll probably check out this movie though.

I love the Foo Fighters and just saw them a month ago. But I will wait for home video on this one.

That looks fun. I’m not a big Foo Fighters fan but Dave Grohl has always seemed like a pretty cool guy.

I’ll check it out when it’s available to stream.

Red Band, very spoiler-rific and pretty gnarly:

I was gonna skip this, but I’ll have to watch the beginning I guess. John Carpenter apparently did the opening theme.

Looks great!

I haven't known Foo Fighters music since the Mentos parody video in the 90's. I know they're famous and loved. Just not my band.

It was silly fun. Grohl could become a decent actor. Was hoping for more music.

I agree with both. I was hoping for more music, but Grohl gave a great performance. He came across how I expect he'd be portrayed if he was ever a character on The Simpsons. He kept reminding me of Homer in a Treehouse Of Horrors Show. I loved his body language, the way he was constantly entering and exiting scenes by doing that weird run with his shoulders raised up.

The horror film nerd in me liked seeing all the images copied from other films:
Spoiler:
like the dark figures behind him at end looking the same as the pirates at the end of The Fog
the American Werewolf In London teeth close-up
the pruning shears from The Burning
the smash cut to the sun setting through the tree branches from Texas Chain Saw Massacre

and a bunch of others I'm sure I missed.

I also dug seeing the cameo from
Spoiler:
John Carpenter, who with his ponytail looks like George Carlin in the late 90s.

.

Fun movie. If I plays long enough, I may check it out a second time.

Saw it tonight, it was fun, gory and quite silly. I am big Foo fan and anyone else in it, would make the movie terrible, but because it's Foo, I give them a pass cause they are just having fun...

I'm not a big fan of the group. Will I miss out on any band references?

Yes, but I doubt in any way that would make the movie confusing or not make sense.

Other than Dave's BBQ skills / references, there isn't much (unless you don't know "Best of you", "All my life" or "Everlong" ... 3 tiny jokes about them)

Caught this yesterday and being both a Foo and 80s horror fan, I enjoyed it a lot. Loved the use of so many practical effects for the gore and creatures. It's basically a Foo Fighters version of Evil Dead.

Blind bought this on Blu-ray and just finished watching it. Pretty fun movie overall. Lots of homages to classic horror films and some pretty gnarly/over the top kills.

Definitely felt heavily inspired by various possession movies and in particular the Evil Dead films. Cool seeing the cameo by John Carpenter.

Overall a worthy watch, especially as a fan of the Foo Fighters.

This movie is going to play a lot differently the next time I watch it with the knowledge that this was going to be the last project Taylor Hawkins did with the band.

Yeah, that was a little weird to think about while watching it. Still didn’t distract me from enjoying the film too much though.
