Venom: The Last Dance (2024, D: Marcel)
Obviously coming eventually. Not officially announced. Hardy is already signed on for a third film. Pascal says it's being planned.
It could be the October 6, 2023 Marvel movie Sony has slated.

It could be the October 6, 2023 Marvel movie Sony has slated.
With director Jon Watts' Spider-Man: No Way Home getting ready to break pandemic box office records when it opens in theaters December 17th, I recently got to speak with producer Amy Pascal about the upcoming Sony/Marvel sequel. During the interview, she talked about the challenges of making a film with so many moving parts (and actors), how they figured out the story they wanted to tell, including the multiverse, and more. In addition, with Pascal also producing the other Sony/Marvel movies like Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, I asked about the status of Venom 3. While she was guarded with her answer, she did confirm they’re working on it:
“We are in the planning stages right now but what we are focused on is getting everybody to come and see No Way Home.”

Needs to have Holland's Spiderman in it.
And I'd throw in a Deadpool appearance, too. "What happened to Forman?"

These are such bad movies, but they make money. I love Hardy and he’s good given what he is given, but such forgettable stupid movies. Michelle Williams who I also love is terrible in them and absolutely calling in. She does nothing for movie whatsoever. The last just terrible. He just ate Carnage? C’mon!

It what is not shocking Sony teased a third Venom movie today. The first two films, which starred Tom Hardy as the Marvel spider-antihero have collectively grossed $1.4 billion at the global box office to date. Plus, it was the briefest of teases: just the pic’s logo in a closing sizzle reel.
No talent attachments were revealed.
The last movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was released in October, scored the second-best opening of the pandemic and second best ever for October with $90M stateside. This was all before Sony’s own Spider-Man: No Way Home notched the second biggest debut ever in U.S./Canada with $260.1M. Venom: Let There Be Carnage grossed $213.55M, and $502M worldwide.

Haven’t seen the second one yet. The first one is okay but definitely not great. Still at least Venom as a character makes sense for solo films versus something like El Muerto.

The first one is better than the 2nd, but the 2nd one is OK, too. It's too short, to get really bad.

Yeah, I’ll watch the second one eventually. I just didn’t get around to seeing it in the theater and haven’t wanted to purchase or rent it. When it eventually hits Netflix I’ll watch it.

1 is fun, 2 was atrocious, and one of the worst films of last year.

Venom 2 had Venom making breakfast for Eddie while singing "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off". It had Venom literally dropping the mic at a dance club. The movie ends with Eddie and Venom declaring their true love for one another. And it did this all in under 100 minutes. Never besmirch the name of Venom 2.

EXCLUSIVE: After writing and producing the first two Venom films, Kelly Marcel is ready to make the jump into the director’s chair as sources tell Deadline she is set to direct Marvel and Sony Pictures’ Venom 3 starring Tom Hardy. Marcel and Hardy will also produce with Marcel writing the screenplay from a story by Marcel and Hardy. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker are also producing.
Plot details are unknown other then Hardy returning as the lethal protector Venom following the first two films grossing a combined $1.36 billion worldwide at the box-office. It is also unknown who will be joining Hardy from previous films or if any characters from the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters will be joining the film.
The first two films had their own director, with Ruben Fleischer directing the first and Andy Serkis helming the most recent pic, but Marcel has been there from the start as Venom’s journey was being mapped out. Insiders say Hardy and Marcel have always been on the same page when it comes to shaping Venom’s story and that heading into the final chapter the two were in step with what direction they wanted this final chapter to head. Hardy announced on his social media that Marcel was back at work on the script earlier this year and as the two were developing the story, sources say it became clear to all involved with the project that it made sense for Marcel to take over directing duties as well.

‘Ted Lasso’s Juno Temple Lands Lead Role In Sony and Marvel’s ‘Venom 3’
By Justin Kroll
EXCLUSIVE: With her hit Apple series Ted Lasso coming to a close, Emmy nominee Juno Temple looks to have found a major global franchise to follow it up with as sources tell Deadline she is in negotiations to co-star in Sony and Marvel’s Venom 3. Tom Hardy is set to return as the titular character with the franchise’s longtime writer Kelly Marcel taking over the directing reins.
Sony and Temple’s reps had no comment on the casting.
Marcel and Hardy also will produce, with Marcel writing the screenplay from a story she and Hardy wrote. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker also are producing.

Who Temple will be playing is being kept under wraps.
While Temple was known for roles in such projects as Vinyl, Killer Joe and Atonement, her role as the delightful Keeley Jones on Apple’s massive hit series Ted Lasso helped put her on the map of up-and-coming leading ladies, and landing this coveted role shows that she was the producers’ top choice for the part, as insiders say. Her performance on Ted Lasso has earned Emmy and SAG nominations for each of the seasons it has aired, and she is sure to be in the mix this Emmy season as well.
With the series coming to an end, Temple already has been busy setting up that future slate, starting with the hit FX anthology series Fargo. The fifth season is about to wrap shooting, and she is set to be front and center of Noah Hawley’s latest installment of the series.
She is repped by UTA, B-Side Management, Maison 2 and Lichter Grossman Nichols.

There is a possibly inappropriate joke I so want to make here ... but I'm afraid it would be taken the wrong way.
