Nice! The uber huge Bluray set has so many docs I wonder what else can be covered outside of it being cool to see the cast together.
Now give me a Cursed Child announcement. :p |

I can't believe the play just recently combined the two parts into one. I don't know how they could do that. |

Sounds interesting.
Wonder if this is a harbinger of the rumored Wizarding World series coming to HBO Max. |

I would hope that if they do a film, they expand the story into a trilogy of films and include some characters who got left out of the play like Hagrid, Luna, and Neville. Neville is a teacher so that's a no-brainer, and Hagrid would still be hanging around. Luna and Rolf at least have to pop in to say "hi," too. And I don't care if he isn't British, Adam Driver absolutely has to play Snape. |

J.K. Rowling will not participate in this special. They will use archived interviews of her. |

Could be fun. And will have time to re-watch the series (had been planning on it anyway).

Re: Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts - HBO Max special
I am still stunned by how much of a homophobic, transphobic mess JK Rowling is, it really hurts my image of this series and kills my interest in seeing anything new from her. I just don't get how she does not understand how her statements are problematic and hurt her fan base.

Re: Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts - HBO Max special
I just can't get past how shitty a person Rowling is considering how much the whole "mudblood" thing ran through the Potter series.

Re: Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts - HBO Max special
Yeah, she's actually turning into Dolores Umbridge.

Re: Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts - HBO Max special
I only was vaguely aware of trans-phobic comments. What has she been saying lately?

Re: Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts - HBO Max special
This little nugget of wisdom is what seems to have put on her everyone's radar this week:
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...25329a00ba.png And before that, she freaked out when some pro-trans activists were picketing her home and posted a photograph that included her address number or some other bit of identifying information, and she accused them of doxxing her. Which seems questionable because her home is public knowledge and, apparently, a landmark included in tours of Edinburgh. |

Anybody else watch this, yet?
Very well produced special. So much nostalgia wrapped up with this, even though it was only been 10 years since the last movie. Nice, brief walk-through the 8 movies. Just enough to moisten eyes a few times and get out. THANK GOD for Emma Watson, who can actually articulate her thoughts and emotions and memories. |

Watching it currently. Rupert Grint has not aged at all. Liking it quite a bit, and will certainly watch the series again now!
