I didn't know AotD got a theatrical release. The only Netflix film I ever saw in theaters is Glass Onion.

Visually that’s looks pretty damn impressive. Snyder usually excels with visuals. It’s the story that takes his projects down a few notches.

We’ll see how this turns out story wise.

I was actually interested in this, but I'm sorry, that looks like a generic video game. Pretty poor dialogue, as well.

Looks like a mash-up of Dune, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Gladiator, Fifth Element, John Carter, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Like Snyder told ChatGPT and Synthesia to make a science fiction movie and this was the result..

Little bit of Final Fantasy in there as well.

Looks fucking epic, though. In Zack I trust.

That looks like on he'll of a ride. Definitely down for this on the big screen. I hope it delivers and, if does bring the goods, I hope it's also one of those rare physical releases from Netflix.

Hope so for a physical release but we don't have a physical release for Army of the Dead or even Army of Thieves.

I wonder what theater will have it in 70mm? The Vista theater that's owned by QT will now specialize in 35mm and 70mm.

Only 1100 miles to the nearest theater to me!

Just read something that says it will mainly play at the few Netflix owned theaters out there. I guess Netflix owns The Egyptian Theater, so that's one.

The film will be playing exclusively on 70mm from Dec. 15-21 at the following locations: Los Angeles (Egyptian Theatre), New York City (Paris Theater), Toronto (TIFF Bell Lightbox) and London (Prince Charles Cinema). Netflix owns the Paris Theater and the Egyptian Theatre.

Don't forget to catch the prequel podcast, the comic books, the animated series, and get your Rebel Moon: The Potholders!

Read: Snyder is touting all kinds of related projects again, even claiming this is in the same universe as his zombie movie was. Whatever happened to all the projects form that universe?

I was hoping to catch this in theaters like I did Glass Onion. I guess it's not to be.

I thought the supposed link to AotD/AoT was simply a rumour started by a random fan because an animatic for a scene in Rebel Moon featured a character from Army of the Dead. If so, that's meaningless.

Army of Thieves is a prequel and that's been out on Netflix for a while now. His animated sequel is supposed to come out in 2024.

Snyder is the living embodiment of trying to make “fetch” happen.

He's a more flamboyant Ridley Scott.

Re: Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire (2023, D: Zack Snyder) - Netflix

I'm getting Suckerpunch vibes off of that trailer.

Feels like it might be a movie like that where it's trying to be so many things that it's really nothing at all. It wants to be ambitious and epic, but it just ends up being a lot of video-gamey special effects over an incomprehensible plot.

I might be misreading it, but I'm getting more Jupiter Ascending or Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets vibes off of this than Star Wars. Maybe we'll get lucky and it will land somewhere in the middle like The Chronicles of Riddick.
