Back then in the 1990s right after Speed 2, Sandra Bullock would always be hanging out with both Jason Patric and Matthew McCononaughey.

I always thought it was pretty weird and awkward for the three of them to hang out together or Sandra to hang travel with one of them at airports all the time

Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter fell in love playing adopted siblings on Dexter. At the same time they were getting divorced, the show introduced a plot point that her character was in love with Dexter.

That would have been odd normally. In the middle of a divorce it felt especially icky.

They would spend the whole movie complaining to their minority sidekicks about how frustrating they are. At the end some quirky twist of fate will happen and they’ll realize they belong together.
