Fantastic Four: Extended Edition (2005)?
So I saw this listing in my cable guide and was aghast that such an atrocity exists. However, when I looked on IMDb it listed extended runtime of 2h 5min and also lists different edits for different countries and stuff. But this guide which is a premium channel lists as the theatrical time of 1:45. Anyone know what gives?

Pretty sure I have the extended edition on DVD. I think the additions were decent, but I liked the original movie. I'm not sure if it ever came out on Blu-ray.

No, it never came out on Blu-ray. For me, the extended edition was quite an improvement.
By the way, there are several items on HBO MAX that include "alternate cuts" as an extra. For example, if you access "Little Shop of Horrors", the complete version with the alternate "Dark" ending is listed as an extra that can be streamed. The "Alien" films all offer the extended versions.

Yeah, the FF 2005 extended version is definitely an improvement over the original (which wasn't bad, really). I wish it would come out on Blu Ray. I've got the DVD.

Then wth is this cable listing? That seems like theatrical. It wouldn’t go over. It’s seldom wrong. So now I’m confused...

I’m recording and I guess I’ll pad, but cable wouldn’t do that and pretty accurate so I dunno. I do know I would like to see a less cheesy version of that one...

The Movies Anywhere HD version of this has the extended version as an extra. It's on sale for $4.99 at the various vendors every so often.

I have always found the two FF films from Tim Story to be fun viewings...they are not great but they are perfectly serviceable films that have a bit of fun. Also, we got a pretty good looking version of the Silver Surfer in the second film and that is neat and love or hate the sequel is still pretty cool.
The FF reboot is of course meh, and unless I am mistaken we have still not seen the Silver Surfer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper.
I will have to look into the extended version of the 2005 FF as I have rewatched the film but I do not think the airing I viewed added any content.
