We rented The Raid 2 because of a camera move. It's in the video beginning just after 4:20. It starts in one car, backs out of the car, enters a second car, and then through and out of that car, all in a single shot.
The video showing how it was done from the DVD extras is on YouTube.

Are we still talking about Career Opportunities, or some other movie?

I like the movie, but the plane crash was (and probably still is) one of the best audio/visual experiences in the theater for me. I had to get it just to see it again cranked up on the home theater setup.

I’d say no. There are films I didn’t love but still bought to be a completionist or because I’m a fanboy of the franchise in general (Batman V Superman for instance). I can’t really think of a movie where I only like one scene and didn’t like the rest of the movie.

I like the Millenium Falcon chase in the Force Awakens but I would have bought it anyways since I am a Star Wars fan.
I think with Youtube or some other site you could watch that favorite scene again and again and save money unless the site operators removed that movie clip.

Not sure this counts, but bought some Friends best of compilations just because they have particular eps pre S6 that I loved. Not necessarily for specific scenes though there were those, but just certain eps in this whole best of whatever. Never saw a single one and don’t think I have anymore...

I bought Psycho III mainly for one scene: Jeff Fahey's character doing this bizarre nude foreplay act involving holding two lamps in front of his genitals while a redheaded girl he picked up at a local bar performs an equally bizarre striptease in front of him. Truly the most gratuitous and unintentionally hilarious sex scene in any studio film I can recall. Fahey made that movie much more entertaining than it had any right to be.

I like Ghost World but I bought it to get the extended Jaan Pehechaan Ho video.

Kind of I guess, I bought the dvd of the Charlie Chaplin movie The Circus just because of the scene with the time traveling woman.

My mom was mad when she saw that scene in the 80's
