One of my favorites that is underrated is “Serendipity”, featuring Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack.

One Fine Day. It's romantic but not a love story because everything is happening in a day. It's funny but not a stupid comedy and most importantly it does not follow the standard formula of "falling in love - big fight - great romantic gesture". It's just a stressful day with two charming adults and their two kids.
My wife loves the movie and I have to say, it's one of a few romantic comedies I really enjoy. The others being Pretty Woman or Notting Hill.

On our first date we watched The Nice Guys, not romantic at all, but it get the job done and we got married 2 years after.
