John Wick 2 is amazing and just builds on 1 while he gets severely punished, but with the no restraints anymore half way through it’s just pure joy. Him and Common casually shooting each other, with no one noticing in the subway was just priceless. So much tension and suspense once he’s rid of the marker and the $7 mil is put on his head, is just so palpable. This is The Empire Strikes Back of the series. And between this and 3 I still have no idea if Winston is on his side. And McShane is just great.

I should watch them again. I liked the first film well enough when I watched it, but wasn’t as in love with it as most people. Kind of felt like a one time watch. Went to the second film with friends in the theater. Kind of the same experience honestly. Haven’t seen the third film.

I like 1 alright, haven’t seen 2, 3 was just too reduntculous and over the top for me.. it was like the actors and filmmakers all took ‘roids prior to each filming session.

JW2 is a glorious operatic ballet from start to anti-climatic finish. Just great.

I’ve only seen the first two. The first one was ok only because of Willem Dafoe and I did not like the second one. Have no interest in watching the third. Give me a Johnnie To film any day over this.
