Lacey Chabert was in Party of Five, Mean Girls and was the original voice of Meg on Family Guy.

Candice Cameron Bure was DJ Tanner on Full House.

Thanks. Not sure I've seen any of those, but they sure are purty.

My mom loves the Hallmark channel. I don’t mind the occasional Candice Cameron Bure Christmas movie.

She's only done a couple of them, but Bridget Regan has two of the best Christmas Hallmark movies from the past decade. Hallmark occasionally gets bigger stars but they tend to be one-off projects.

I just watched a couple of Luke Perry westerns, "Goodnight For Justice" and "Goodnight For Justice: The Measure of a Man". Not too bad with the prevailing arc of doing the right thing even when it's not easy.

Re: Calling All Hallmark Fans

I think they've pretty much taken the place of romcoms as you don't see many of those being released in theaters at all these days. I agree they seem to be the antithesis of Hollywood these days. When I think about it, a lot of TV is stressful. It's just one long story arc and tension fills every minute. These are the opposite of that. I don't watch them but if the wife has them on I halfway pay attention to them while browsing my phone. It really helps of the lead is hot. Another Hallmark unexplainable is the Home and Family morning show. It's just so sappy with dumb DIY segments and but it's just "wholesome" TV. No politics no news no nothing. Just pure easily digestible TV.

After averting for too long, I have come to like Hallmark movies. I am not too proud to admit that I was wrong and my Aunt Lee was right all along. For those of you that have been averting, you might reconsider and give them a try.

I'm glad to hear you have grown to like them and their appeal. That SNL skit came out last year but pretty funny in pointing out a lot of the cliches of these movies.

Now if I could only say the same thing about water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. I get so tired of picking them out of my Chinese food.
