I’m onboard with Kirby & Quinn.
I’d also love if the Matt Smith as Reed was true.
I hope Marvel doesn’t fuck this up. I’m looking forward to this so much.

Vanessa Kirby certainly has one thing going for her in a Fantastic Four movie.

Take it for what it's worth... but this might work and I could get on board with this (from Marvel Fans Forever):

The part that I am keen about would be the FF coming from another world... it's going to be hard to introduce an established group in a timeline where they've been absent from 30+ movies/series where they're impact would have been welcomed and noted.
... and with the new internet tabloid rumor that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Toby McGuire's Spider-man are going to lead the Secret Wars project... they're pulling in "outsiders" to grab the cynics that have bailed on these new characters that haven't garnered the following they want to recapture.
But I'm not Kevin Fiege so I don't know what we're gonna get.

I'm really not a fan of the Multiverse crutch being used to introduce new franchises and characters to the MCU, or using it to correct poor decisions in previous films, but that seems like the direction they're going to take.
I'd actually be more okay with the Fantastic Four being set in the 1960s of the MCU, then getting thrown into the 21st century MCU, and having the X-Men and mutants hiding out on Krakoa and making their MCU debut that way than relying on the Multiverse.
It just becomes such a cheap handwave when they can kill off Tony Stark and have Steve Rogers time travel back to the past, then decide they still need Iron Man and Captain America in the MCU and just pull the Captain America from Universe 7384782 and the Iron Man from Universe K-7883-0-5 into the MCU and pretend like nothing ever happened.
Between killing off Loki, Thanos, and Gamora the last two Avengers films only to bring them back with time-travel hijinks, and having Dr. Strange erase Spiderman from the world's memory to remove all of the baggage they gave him, they've already done too much handwaving.

Yeah, it certainly feels like they're going to use the Multiverse to bring in the Fantastic Four and X-Men.

The X-Men coming from elsewhere is a big mistake.
1. It's needlessly complex. Just say they were mostly underground or Infinity Stone shenanigans triggered X-genes.
2. If they're both from alternate universes, why would the FF be considered celebrity heroes, but the X-Men would be villified? How would you introduce new X-Men?

So now Jake Gyllenhaal will play a Marvel character who claims to be from another universe...and really is?

Yeah, I could sort of see the FF coming from an alternate universe, but not both. I still like the idea of the FF being set in the 1960s of the MCU, where they could things like Howard Stark, young Hank Pym, Peggy Carter, etc. It's the kind of the things that make the MCU into a richer, more expansive place where it has a sense of its own history.
A few years ago Marvel did a sort of soft reboot of the X-Men titles with Jonathan Hickman, where they the mutants self-segregated themselves on the mutant island Krakoa. Seemed like it could have been a trial balloon for how they're going to integrate the X-Men and mutants into the MCU, where they've been living in this Shangri-La-like place and just now start coming out into the greater world.

I'm old. All this multiverse stuff is (getting more) confusing. (Shakes fist at my comic and movie collection and shout's get off my universe lawn).

I like this pick way more than Jake G. That seemed all sorts of wrong.

I’m okay with Pedro but yeah.. not my first choice for Mr. Fantastic. I’m sure he’ll be alright but just not who I’d have thought would be cast.

I like Pascal but definitely the wrong choice for this. They should've gone with someone unknown.
