Shiiiit. That's sobering for a guy like me, who has been at similar body weights/shapes over the years.

Hope he recovers. I'm not sure what the life span is for someone who had a massive heart attack. I know that can damage your heart muscle permanently.

I hope that gets him to take care of his body. His weight seems like it's fluctuated so much over the last few decades.

He's just had a near-fatal heart attack; he's far from okay. I'm sure he'll probably tell us more in the next few days and weeks if he's able to.

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

And this was after losing a shit-ton of weight - but I guess the damage was already done.

In the last few years, I noticed that whenever Smith poses for a picture he purposely gives that deer-in-the-headlights expression. Why is he doing that now?

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

I saw Kevin's post on Facebook. Sounds like he needs to make some major lifestyle changes if he wants to live beyond his 50's.

This is the most recent picture I could find of him from 2018. It was taken at the 2018 Sundance Film festival. He's still a big guy, but doesn't look morbidly obese.

Actually shouldn't this be put in it's own separate thread? Kevin Smith suffers massive heart attack.

Some people probably are going to miss it throwing it into a thread about a movie that hasn't been made yet.

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

He has been needing some major lifestyle changes for a while. How about starting with wearing some age appropriate clothes that actually look half decent on you. Not looking like some homeless wigga with a strong streak of redneck. I mean look at that photo. Almost gives me a massive heart attack at how goddam stupid he looks.

I don't know much about the widow maker heart attack but I do know that major, consistent, weight fluctuations are not good for your body at all.

It’s inappropriate at this time but damn if I didn’t laugh out loud to this comment.

Enough with the fucking hockey jerseys.

It's not just the hockey jerseys - it's much worse when it's coupled with his extra long jean shorts (halfway between his knee and ankles) - which he's worn for a very long time. Hard to believe a 47 year old would still be dressing like that.

And that stupid expression on his face when his picture is taken. Just do a google search on him and almost every picture of him from the last few years he has that same look.

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

He's 47 year old man who probably still thinks he's 21 and probably eats like a 21 year old too.

I hope he does get his health and weight issues in order. With this heart attack, it probably means he won't be taking any directing jobs, even TV for awhile.

He's explained that before. If he doesn't open his eyes wide, he looks stoned in almost every picture taken of him.

You like living dangerously, because at least half the people on this forum now want to ban you from posting for speaking such blasphemous thoughts.

ETA: I say this as someone who has never smoked the wacky tobaccy.

True, he does have to sleep. Probably closer to 16/7.

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

One thing that drove me nuts about him (besides his oversized clothes) was the way he kep waving his hands around every time he was talking. Mainly saw it happen on his Comic Book store tv series.

I've never understood comments like this. Who gives a shit what somebody else wears? Especially some celebrity who you don't even know. As long as they're not attending your wedding or funeral I say live and let live. If it makes a person happy, let them be themselves. There's so much hate in this world.

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

I find it pathetic when people at their middle to later age of life dress like they are 12. Sure he can wear what he wants, and i can think negatively about him for this. As you say, live and let live.

Re: Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (D: Kevin Smith)

I always thought it was weird and a little awkward that Kevin would always wear those same hockey jerseys, but then again I think part of it was him hiding his size and weight a bit. That said, I don't see the big deal either nor do I think his age suddenly means he has to wear slacks and a polo or something because some societal norm or whatever.

But what do I know, I work at a video game company and can wear flip flops, shorts, and t-shirts to the office everyday if I want. I'd rather dress comfortably too
