For me, whenever i see Josh Brolin in The Goonies, i just can't believe that he has become the actor he is, good and popular. i mean he could be considered A-list and was in The Goonies. i love things like that...

Christian Bale. I enjoyed seeing him in American Psycho and Equilibrium might be one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures of all time so I was super jazzed about seeing him cast as Batman and watching him in more action roles.

But then going from that to an Academy Award winner was a pleasant surprise, which I should have seen coming after The Machinist.

Yep. I was a Bosom Buddies fan and when he did that movie Bachelor Party post BB's they filmed some scenes around the block from my school in Culver City CA and we met him and got autographs. Nice guy. Who would have known he would be the big powerful A-lister he is today back then.

I figured him for an action genre star ala Segal, Van Damme, Norris, Statham, etc.
Instead he's the star of A list, mass audience blockbusters.

Oddly enough, I don’t mind Kevin Hart in his movies but I can’t stand his over-rehearsed, written by committee stand-up comedy.

Not really applying to Movies, but who would have thought that Donnie Wahlberg, one of the singers on New Kids on the Block, would become a pretty successful actor and be the lead of his own TV series. And now it's going on 9 seasons.

Yeah, Tatum’s talent is playing to his strengths (dancing, being attractive, acting dumb and decent comedic timing) and not taking himself too seriously. That goes a long way.

My pick is Jim Carrey - from Fire Marshall Bill and talking out his butt to the top of the A List and Golden Globe wins. Too bad he’s nuts with the anti-vaccine stuff.

That's a good one. As someone that watched him in his WWE days, I figured he might just have a slightly better movie career then Hulk Hogan. Or at best, bit parts in mediocre action movies. Instead he's a huge star.
