I want to be excited for this but I haven’t watched BB since the finale and have no recollection where Jesse or any of the other characters left off. This trailer certainly looks good, looks slick and well made, but I have no idea what’s going on or why I should care.
I’m sure if I look around there are plenty “previously on...” that I can check out.

I’d like to go back and rewatch the series from the start sometime. I haven’t watched it since the finale (other than clips). I have the major details all down still though so I can still watch this and enjoy it.

Eh I don’t know. I’m happy to see it but I feel like he got a decent ending all things considered. No one really walked away from that show with a good ending. Walt saved him though, he got some revenge by killing Todd, and broke out of the compound he was being kept in. I always felt like the ambiguous ending sorta worked, but if Gilligan feels there’s more to tell with the character I’ll watch it.

A little surprised to see it going to theaters. Might be fun to watch with a crowd of Breaking Bad fans.
Who is asking Jesse "Are you ready?" off camera?

Also wondering that scene where he’s near that body of water who’s standing with him. It almost looks like Mike to me, which could be a flashback or I could just be imagining things.

I don't see this a "TV movie" at all. It is no different than Downton Abbey getting a sequel film, except for who is distributing it. I'm pretty sure the theatrical aspect would disqualify it from Emmy contention.

I don't know about Emmy eligibility. I know documentaries have won both (OJ : Made in America, Citizenfour, and Free Solo just won SEVEN Emmys last week). Don't know about feature films though. If it debuts in a theater first (Roma, The Irishman), then it's ineligible for Emmy consideration. If it debuts simultaneously, I don't know.
Edit : Found an article. Says the rules for Documentaries are different. It sounds like it's up to Netflix if a feature runs for an Emmy or Oscar. If they run it for an Emmy, it's ineligible for the Oscars. And if it plays too many theatrical dates (showings x # of theaters > 70), it's ineligible for the Emmys.
So we will see...

I just noticed it is only playing for the weekend. That wouldn't qualify for Oscars as it needs to run for a week in LA... unless they plan something for that.

It's playing in one theater here in North Vegas. Six showings there that weekend. I could see this going above 70 total and ruining Emmy eligibility (unless that rule has been changed or revised since that article was published in March, unlikely). I imagine though that they're acutely aware of the "magic number" and will keep the total number of theatrical screenings nationally to

I am going to be in the minority ... hell, I may be alone on an island ...
Jesse was the worst part of the show. It’s been too long since I watched it, but I recall him being an insufferable twat who got worse towards the end.

In response to the new clip posted: That’s the guy from the impound place that provided the high powered magnet for breaking into the police station right?

And I thought Saul Goodman was a one-note lawyer joke used exclusively for comic relief who was entertaining but tonally wrong for the show. Had no interest in exploring his backstory. Vince Gilligan and crew have earned our good faith.

Jesse had a character arc and changed from being a lowlife druggie to having more of a conscience about his actions. His journey was the opposite of Walt’s in a lot of ways. Where Walt went from good to bad, Jesse went from bad (though not as bad initially as Walt became) to a bit better of a person in my opinion.

Can't believe this is just three days away!
I assume there will be no advance reviews and it will drop on critics Midnight Friday like the rest of us.
The Ringer made a good point this morning : Almost everyone in the Breaking Bad universe we would want to see Jesse interact with (except Skinny Pete and Badger) is either dead or working as the manager of a Cinnabon in Omaha.
