i'll do some primary and some secondary, maybe some baddies. certainly can't get them all, but do my best.

i know many will say Chris Evans as Captain America and I've always loved RDJ as Iron Man and consider the first my favorite of all MCU movies, but i think Chris Hemsworth has been the biggest surprise for me.

i think through the 3 + Avengers films, he really came into into his own, especially loved Thor: Ragnarok, not just for him, but movie itself was one of best and most fun in MCU, with much credit to Waititi. but i think Hemsworth is just great as Thor and has evolved and grown into the role the most.

not saying the others are diminished in any way, as they are great and really perfect for their roles. ScarJo as BW and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Evans definitely does own Captain America and i loved Civil War for that reason in part, especially, but think, for me, Hemsworth does it the best through his arc to Infinity War...

My personal vote is Chris Evans. I remember before the first Capt. America came out people were worried that they wouldn’t be able to find an actor who could have the screen presence to lead the Avengers. Damned if Chris Evans didn’t kill it in that regard. I mean, who wouldn’t follow Evans’ Cap into battle?

I’ll also say that Tom Holland is my favorite Spider-man so far. He beats Maguire and Garfield by a mile. But TBH, I don’t think any of the previous Spider-man films are particularly great (even Spider-man 2, yeah I said it).

I think the best so far has been Terrence Howard as Rhodey.

Stan Lee in every MCU movie.

Chris Evans is playing Captain America as I read him in the comics for decades. RDJ is really playing some form of himself as Tony Stark. Admittedly, his version of the character has redefined Iron Man.

Downey, but so much of the MCU casting has been excellent.

I was unsure about Evans, and even the first Cap he was just decent, but we got to see his leadership a little in the first Avengers and in Winter Soldier he just truly owned that role.

Remember when the rumors of the first Thor movie was how mad Hopkins was because Hemsworth couldn't act or something? He's also been excellent and really grown in to the role.

Pratt, Rudd, Holland also all excellent.

RDJ is so overrated.

I'd have to go with most of the Guardians cast from Pratt Bautista and Saldana to Michael Rocker, Karen Gillian and Lee Pace. Even Bradley Cooper's voice work as rocket has been phenomenal. The casting for those films hit it out of the park.

Outside of GotG though, I'd to with Cumberbatch and Evangeline Lily. I left Ant Man and the Wasp wanting more Lily in the MCU.

The casting has been so incredible in the MCU it's unreal. RDJ is Tony Stark and that was very obvious from the beginning but I think he's also expanded on this role and added some depth and nuance to the way he's played him. Chris Evans is the first casting choice that I was questioning as I thought it was odd they were getting the kid who played the Human Torch to play Captain America. The first Captain America movie is still one of the best in the MCU and a lot of that has to do with Chris Evan's performance. He really has embodied that role and is my pick for the best. It really is like they picked the person that most fit's their character. Especially with Tom Holland. He's just the perfect Peter Parker/Spiderman. His demo video is so cool to see.

Mine is Tilda Swinton as the ancient one.

Paul Bettany's Vision and Hopkin's Odin seem most identical to their comic counterparts in both look and personality.

If you include tv, nobody beats D'Onofrio's Kingpin.

My first thought was RDJ or Evans. I went with Hiddleston as Loki. I wasn't in to the comic books so have no comparison to what the original vision was. But Hiddleston is such a great bad guy. He plays that mischievous, power hungry baddie to a T

My second choice is Cumberbatch. I think he's great as Dr. Strange.

I am not a fan of RDJ as Iron Man. I voted for Chris Evans

RDJ has done an incredible job, however the role of Cap was a much larger hurdle for any actor. To play a character that instills in other characters such respect and pride was hard to pull off, especially at a time when US patriotism to the world outside of the USA was seen as everything wrong with America.

Marvel has done an incredible job casting their movies and hard for me to think of anyone who hasn't fit their role perfectly.

RDJ all the way for me. I also really like Chris Pratt's take on Starlord and Hemsworth as Thor.

I find Evans kind of bland in the role of Cap'n A.

They all do fantastic jobs, but since Downey basically wrote the book known as the MCU, he gets the vote.

I do agree that Hemsworth is exceptional.

This is a hard one. My favorite is probably Robert Downey Jr. for how charismatic and memorable he is as Stark. He'll be tough to replace someday. Evans is damn good too though. Cumberbatch is also good as Doctor Strange despite only playing him twice and only in one solo film. Samuel L. Jackson also deserves recognition as Fury. I mean he's the inspiration for the character as we know him and he does a good job with it.

I don't really know that I think any of the major heroes desperately needs to be recast. Maybe Renner is a bit weak as Hawkeye, but that's more down to the character hasn't been given a lot to do.

Whenever this question is asked in Sheep games, it eliminates Downey.
