Actor with the most franchises?

I was just thinking how how with "Glass," Samuel L. Jackson has been involved in four franchises:

- Star Wars
- Unbreakable/Glass
- MCU
- The Incredibles

Has any other actor had a starring/recurring role in as many different franchises?

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

Chris Pine :

Star Trek
Wonder Woman
Jack Ryan
Horrible Bosses

(and maybe Wrinkle in Time sequel if they ever decide to make one)

-- Though I do see that he was only in one Jack Ryan movie and one Horrible Boss movie. If the question really is "appears in more than one movie of a given franchise", he's not there.

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

Jackson was also involved with the Jurassic Park and Die Hard franchises. And don’t forget xXx!

Also Kingsman and MonsterVerse.

Jeremy Renner has been in a few as well:

-MCU
-Mission: Impossible
-Bourne
-28 Days/Weeks Later (if you want to consider that a franchise).

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

I guess I meant an actor who has appeared in more than one installment of a franchise.

I would consider Rocky and Creed to be the same franchise, otherwise Samuel L. Jackson's role in the MCU could be broken down into each different character/ Team trilogy and win this very easily.

The Rock

Scorpion King/Mummy Returns
Fast & Furious
Jumanji (sequel in pre-production)
San Andreas (sequel announced)

Hmm. I thought there would be more. Almost every movie he makes seems ripe for a sequel.

Also the MCU. He played the Red Skull in the first Captain America film.

Though I would consider the Hobbit to be part of the LOTR franchise. He even played the same character in both.

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

Mark Wahlberg has been in at least 3 film franchises (Transformers, Daddy's Home, Ted) and has a food franchise (Wahlburgers)

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

We probably need to clarify our rules. I would say you're only involved in ONE movie of a franchise, you're NOT part of that franchise. So Sam Jackson wouldn't qualify for the Jurassic Park franchise. Nor would Sean Connery for Indiana Jones. Agree? Disagree?

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

I agree. That's why I didn't list the MCU for Hugo Weaving.

Despite being the same role, The Hobbit is a distinctly different series.

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

Would Peter Cushing count?

* Frankenstein - 6 movies (7 if you include One More Time)
* Dracula - 5 movies
* Doctor Who - 2 movies
* Star Wars - 2 movies (if you squint and include Rogue One)
* Sherlock Holmes - 1 movie, 1 tv movie and a tv series
* Amicus Anthology Films (a real stretch as he was playing different characters in each) - 4 films.

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

Warwick Davis:

Star Wars- He was in just about all of them
Leprechan- He was in al 50 of the movies in that franchise
Harry Potter
Get Santa/ Text Santa
Narnia Chronicles/ Prince Caspian

If we were to count each Marvel series seperately, then Stan Lee would win this contest easily.

Re: Actor with the most franchises?

If we count voice actors, many virtually unknown actors could beat the lists above.

For instance:

John Ratzenberger

Lego Movies
The Donner Superman franchise
Star Wars- He was at least in Empire but maybe one or two more
Name of God/ Grace of God
Toy Story
The Incredibles
Monsters, Inc.
Cars
and there's probably several more

I would consider some if it was in a key role for the film. Jackson maybe not for JP, but Hugo yes for MCU.
