Of the 3 Superman's who starred in their own Hollywood films which Superman is more memorable?

Christopher Reeve? (Superman I-IV)
Brandon Routh? (Superman Returns)
Henry Cavill? (Man of Steel, BVS, Justice League)

My vote goes for Christopher Reeves. I think he was the real true embodiment of what Superman really should look and act like.

Reeve will win this in a landslide. I was never that enthralled with him or the original Superman movies which I've commented on enough here in the past. I absolutely love Cavill in the role though.

I agree with this. I love Cavill as Superman and I’m angry that he’ll mostly likely never get a quality film to show off his full Supes potential.

Reeve's film representation of Superman is iconic in my mind. Even more so when you factor in how well he portrayed Clark Kent.

Reeve and it isn’t even close. He embodies Superman to such perfection that I don’t see how anyone will ever top him.

I honestly don’t hate Cavill in the role despite thinking most of the films he’s in aren’t very good. He could be a better Superman if he was in better films but he’s got a decent look and I generally find him likable in other films.

Tim Daly is fine as Clark/Superman his take on the voice isn’t anywhere close to as memorable as Conroy in my opinion.

I was having this talk with my sister not too long ago (She fell in love with Superman because of Reeve's performance). We came to the conclusion that Routh's performance struggled because, Returns was too much of a tribute to the films before it and he didn't get a chance to really explore the role. She enjoyed Cavill's performance as Superman, but according to her it was missing something. After seeing BvS it was clear to me, that Cavill is also not exploring the character. A lot of his performance is done without speaking, and I get that what's happening in that movie doesn't give Superman a ton to be talkative about, but it even when faced with impossible odds, Supes never loses his smile. I feel in Justice League Cavill finally got to be Superman, and it's a shame that movie wasn't handled better. I hope he gets a chance to grow this role beyond looking the part.

Reeve's will ALWAYS be Superman, his performance is as iconic as his theme.

Christopher Reeve and Lynda Carter will always be Superman and Wonder Woman to me. And before everyone calls me out for being clouded by nostalgia, Christian Bale is my favorite Batman.
