In the action packed thriller, Traffik, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple is surprised by the arrival of two friends, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez). Just when the weekend starts to get back on track, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. The foursome are forced to fight for their lives against the gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets. The film is written and directed by Deon Taylor, and produced by Roxanne Avent, Paula Patton and Taylor. Codeblack Films, a division of Lionsgate will release the film wide on April 20, 2018.

Saw the whole movie already when they showed the trailer before we saw A Quite Place. Dreadful.

Caught a matinee of this today.

Very dark storyline. Deals with Sex Trafficking and Murder. You could almost consider this an exploitation flick. Could have been more compelling with a different lead. Patton was just not very good as the lead. She IMO just couldn't sell the more dramatic scenes including the fear and terror of the situation these people were placed in. That kept me from enjoying this more even though it's not a pleasant movie. Laz Alonso's character was such a fucking douchebag. I wanted to punch him so bad.

I saw Patton appear on a morning talk show promoting this. Apparently this was a passion project for her and she's Producer of it.

I'd give this a C+. Something to watch once and that's it.

I was looking for that as well. It's called "Dare You to Love Me" by Joelle James... and seemingly not available anywhere.
