Two great points. I agree, I loved It Comes at Night, and I totally missed out by not mentioning Take Shelter, which is my favorite Jeff Nichols movie. And you're right, Michael Shannon was amazing in that movie...Good call...

Props about Tell No One, that was a great and still slightly underseen movie...Klute is also a classic...I thought about including Z but I just feel (personally) it's more of a straight-forward political thriller and doesn't have as much "paranoia" (I know that's subjective) compared to his other work...But you came up with a great list...Zodiac remains my favorite Fincher movie...

Many of the greats mentioned already, so I'll just add two very different unalloyed masterpieces: Karel Kachyna's Ucho (The Ear, 1969) and Brain Dead (1990).

Never heard of The Ear...sounds interesting...I'm going to try and check that out...Thanks for the recommendation...
