The trailer looked so abysmally stupid I almost have to see this now based on the positive reviews. MoviePass makes these decisions very easy for me.

This was pretty great. Laughed consistently throughout.

That was the most silent I've ever heard a movie theater for a comedy in a long time. It's 102 minutes yet every scene just feels rushed. Every joke feel flat and every story felt forced.

I thought this movie was a lot of fun. Not nearly the comedy Game Night was but I still laughed at several parts. When John Cena makes sustained eye contact with Bill Lumbergh while he's climaxing while fucking his wife and then references the fact that thats what just happened, I busted a gut laughing.
Also, John Cena has an acting future. I thought he was really good in this. He's a much better actor than The Rock. Whereas The Rock is a much better wrestler than Cena.

I thought the movie was just average though. The premise/story was pretty good but nothing really that memorable.
And am I the only one that thinks Leslie Mann is really hot?

I thought the movie was ok; I thought it would be much funnier given the reviews. The adults were funny, but I don't think any of scenes with the kids were that great and were fairly predictable.
Cena is ok, I don't think he's anywhere near as good of an actor as The Rock though. So far he's been funny only because he's been taking advantage of the big buff guy doing things you wouldn't expect type of comedy.

I used my MoviePass for the first time today to watch this. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was one of the better bigger budget comedies in awhile. 3.75/5
I didn't have sound for the first five minutes of the movie. I went to tell a theater employee about it. They were able to fix it and they restarted the movie for me. I thought that was pretty good customer service especially since I was the only person watching Blockers.

Decided to see this on a whim since I had Moviepass. Glad I did as I really enjoyed it. A lot of laughs and I didn't feel like the characters were there for mere titillation like many sex comedies of the past. A nice surprise overall.

Not bad, not great and pretty unoffensive (well, save for the one f'd up scene). I did manage to laugh a few times with the parent scenes, so I guess it did its job. That said, probably won't remember this tomorrow... 3/5

this was not good. can't believe the decent reviews and return. such a generic, bland twist on American Pie without the raunch and most importantly the funny. i laughed maybe twice. the script was terrible. only Ike Barinholtz, playing totally against type and only rational one, was decent, but again he is a comedian and was not in this. weird. Cena was good in the small doses in Trainwreck, but in a large dose like this? terrible. Mann played same character as usual, but more kooky and stupid. the three HS girls were totally forgettable. and i dunno wtf was going on with the Gary Cole/Gina Gershon scenes. it was just not a great movie despite what the critics and audiences that saw it say and paid.

It wasn't as funny as the Trailer led me to believe but Ike Barinholtz provided most of the laughs for me.
I appreciated a few of the heartfelt moments as well.

Unless we saw different movies, he was the straight man. Unless that is what made him funny to you...

Personally, early on I was afraid he was going to be the obnoxious/annoying character (i.e. the kind of characters Melissa McCarthy or Zach Galifianakis typically play) but thankfully did mellow out and actually had the only emotionally resonating scene in the movie.
