Shamaylan twist: it is actually going to come out as “The Cloverfield Place” !!!!!!
Actually, I think it looks pretty damn good. Will see it in the theater.

I really like the looks of this, and I'm a big fan of both Krazinski and Blunt. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Not PG-13 in what sense exactly? Or is he one of those people that thinks you need to be R and super graphic to be scary?

Here's a quote and a link to his full review.
A Quiet Place is grim as hell and its PG-13 rating is a sick joke, but for those who can take it I’d recommend seeing it on the biggest screen in the most packed-possible auditorium. We’ll see if this is a one-time deal or if John Krasinski will join the likes of Jordan Peele and Mike Flanagan as next-wave “masters of horror.” A Quiet Place is as relentlessly scary a theatrical horror flick as I can remember. Wes Craven would have loved it. You will too.

Sounds like he's just a pussy.
Kind of like how the MPAA rated The Conjuring R for just being "too scary", although it was essentially a PG-13 movie.

Yeah, that guy just sounds like a wimp or someone trying to up-sell the movie. Either that or he doesn't remember many scary movies to say this is as relentless as any he's seen.

When I first heard of this I thought it sounded real dumb. Just another horror movie hanging its hat on its gimmick. But somewhere along the way I started hearing positive buzz, and now I'm really looking forward to checking this out on Friday.

If the recommendation is to see it with a full theater I'm kind of torn as to when to go. I went to see Get Out on the late show Thursday screening and was one of only three people in the theater. Not that it mattered for that screening, as it was still great. I saw "IT" on a Thursday night show in a packed house and while I still enjoyed it regardless, the crowd helped a lot. I also saw both of them at the same Theater, but for some reason one Thursday night show drew a crowd and the other did not. My thinking is that Friday might be a better night as it means less people will be having to be concerned about work the next day.

The packed crowd I sat IT with ruined the movie. Specifically the people on either side of us who could not shut the hell up for the entire duration of the film.

See, this is also a concern of mine with the movie being PG-13. There's a strong chance over half the audience won't be there to watch the movie but to socialize and try to impress the opposite sex at the expense of the viewing experience of others. I am thinking a later show on Friday might be best.

I love good audience reactions, reactions to stuff like the knife-in-the-trampoline bit in the Grindhouse trailers or the brain feeding scene in Hannibal made them more enjoyable.

Alamo Drafthouse has an on-screen announcement if there's a noisy table (or talking or texting) put up an order card and a manager will take care of it. Ejection without a refund. I've never seen a problem.
