His wife is such a crappy actress...ugh. It is a chore to watch her. Potentially see this on home video since I saw the other 2.

Not the greatest of trailers...

There is not a trailer or review bad enough to keep me from seeing this but I'm not looking forward to it much now and I very much was at one point.

Hard to get a feel for the film when the trailers is super fast clips but it looks like Moseley is doing great work again. If he has a DP that matched the look of TDR then this might be good. If it looks cheap like "31", eh.

Agreed. TDR actually looked like a real film. The quick cuts in this look like they were filmed with a chintzy digital camera.

I enjoyed The Devil’s Rejects enough when I first watched it so I’ll check this out too but I’m not really champing at the bit anymore.

I remember really liking TDR when it came out, enough that when he was announced to direct the reboot of my favorite franchise in the slasher genre, Halloween, I was totally on board. And we all know how that turned out...

Truly not trying to shit on anyone's tastes here, but I'm honestly surprised this guy has any audience for his films at all. Harry Knowles is probably going bananas for this.

Bought a ticket to Night 3 of the Fathom Events' screening of this film, which is a Double Feature with The Devil's Rejects.

The last time I saw The Devil's Rejects in a theater was 14 years ago. Excited to see it again in a theater!

Got an email that this is showing at one of the cheaper theaters around me for a couple of nights in September. Went to possibly buy tickets and they are 14 bucks apiece. No thanks!

Oh, now I get the name! Cause I couldn’t fathom paying that much for a likely shitty movie.

Yea, I looked into seeing it, but I'm not paying $15 bucks and driving 45 minutes to do so. If it was valid for A-List, maybe. I'm sure this will hit VOD before Halloween, so I'll just wait for that.

No details given...

An unfortunate incident has occurred regarding cult actor Sid Haig. The news was given out on Haig’s official Instagram account, as written by his wife Suzie. Although no specifics were given, it appears that Haig was taken to the ICU following some kind of accident. Here’s Suzie’s exact statement:

“SID HAS HAD AN ACCIDENT AND IS IN THE HOSPITAL IN ICU. EVERYONE PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!!!!!!!!”

His health was brought up in this thread since he's, supposedly, not in this movie much.

Lionsgate and Saban Films are unleashing Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell in nearly 900 movie theaters on September 16, 17 and 18, 2019, but what about a home video release?

According to Amazon listings, 3 from Hell will be hitting Blu-ray on October 15th, 2019 here in the United States, and October 14th, 2019 over in the United Kingdom!

For the US release, Amazon lists DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD discs.

LouderSound.com also notes that the UK release will include the following special features, and we can only assume that the US release will be packaged with the same contents:

95-minute “making of” documentary, To Hell And Back
Rob Zombie commentary track

Oct. 15th seems pretty quick but I’m not complaining. I wasn’t planning on seeing it in the theater anyway.

It's basically just a direct to video movie that got a limited release with Fathom. Direct to video is pretty standard for Saban's output.

I read an interview with Zombie today and he talks about how Sid
Spoiler:
is only in the opening of the film, due to the fact no insurance company would cover him for the film because of his health. So, Lionsgate allowed Zombie to sneak Sid onto set so he could do a day's worth of work.

Sid took a nasty spill early last week and went to the ER to make sure everything was ok. It was, but they kept him for a bit for observation. Late last Thursday night he vomited in his sleep. Because he was asleep, the vomit went into his lungs (aspiration). Fortunately, since they were monitoring him, the alarm went off and they were able to get the vomit out and an air tube with suction in. They suctioned his lungs for a couple days and everything came out so they were able to remove the air tube/suction. He’s been breathing well for several days now but they still have to monitor for infection to be safe, since the bacteria in the human gut can set up an infection in the lungs when this happens, and are giving him IV antibiotics to protect him.” Suzie went on to say that her husband has “bounced back like a champ" and is "fighting like a warrior and winning the fight"

This still doesn't answer what was wrong with him when they first started filming the movie, which was months ago, and has his role limited to like one day of filming. We'll see how all of that plays out.

Re: 3 From Hell (2019, D: Rob Zombie) -- sequel to The Devil's Rejects

“The movie that I prepped to make, and was getting ready to start shooting, it was Captain Spaulding, Otis, and Baby, the three originals,” says Zombie. “But three weeks out from shooting, I got a call from Sid Haig. He had been in the hospital, and he had just had surgery, and he was now recovering in a rehabilitation facility. I’m like, holy sh—, this is a serious business. So, I went to see him, and he had changed drastically from the last time I saw him. Because Sid, he’s big and burly, and now he’s tiny as a skeleton. So, I was like, oh man. I kind of realized, yeah, he’s in rough shape. So, at that point I was kind of f—ed. I created this charter Foxy for Richard Brake. I had just worked with Richard on a movie called 31 and I knew he would fit the vibe. He was on another movie in Spain shooting. He flew right from that movie to L.A. and started working instantly. A lot of the scenes with Foxy were supposed to be Spaulding and I twisted things around so I didn’t have to rewrite every single thing. It was the funniest situation and the sh—tiest situation. Because, I went from one moment thinking, ‘This is the most prepared I have ever f—ing been to start a movie — everything is locked down tight’ — and within one phone call, the entire production went into complete chaos for three weeks. But at the end of the day, it all worked out great.”

Zombie was still determined that genre favorite Haig appear in the film. “I knew it was so important he be part of the movie,” says Zombie. “Lionsgate was fine with me sort of sneaking him in one day to shoot as much as I could. It was on me to make sure that nothing went wrong. So I got him in, I shot everything I could shoot.” [Note: On Sept. 7, Haig’s wife, Suzy, wrote on Instagram that the actor had been involved in an accident and was in the ICU. On Friday, she offered an update, saying the actor was “winning the fight” after taking a “nasty spill.”]

I have tickets for the Double Feature on Wednesday. Curious how all of that panned out in the end.

Richard Brake was the best thing about 31.
