'Replicas' Trailer: Keanu Reeves Brings His Family Back to Life
The actor brought the first look of the sci-fi drama to New York Comic Con.

On Thursday, he debuted the first trailer for Replicas, in which he plays a neuroscientist in Puerto Rico whose family dies in an accident. Before their deaths, he had been working on transferring human conciseness to a computer, and after the accident, he recruits his scientist pal (Silicon Valley star Thomas Middleditch) to try to bring then back to life with cutting edge cloning.
The scientist's wife (Alice Eve) and kids are brought back to life, but they don't realize they had died in the first place. Things only get more complicated from there.
"There are some moral questions, some ethical questions in terms of re-creating life," Reeves said at New York Comic Con.
The film is from director Jeffrey Nachmanoff and screenwriter London Has Fallen writer Chad St. John.

Yeah this is probably going to bomb. It's been in the can for almost 2 years and doesn't have a major studio attached to it. I think it also leaked online as well.
I have not seen any promotion for this on TV or the web outside of searching for the trailer on YouTube. They probably have no money for the marketing.

Probably not, but it would've made a lot more sense as it's very much a straight-to-video kind of show, like so many of Reeves' recent movies that aren't John Wick.
I must admit that my inner bad movie lover is intrigued by how ludicrous it seems to be, but I certainly can't see paying for the dubious honor . . .
