I just saw Runaway Train's opening title card and that was pretty damn slick. Also, I think Carpenter's The Thing and probably Alien are iconic title cards. (I will post pics later)

Inspired this very cool Star Wars opening.

I think I remember loving Panic Room too, but that was whole sequence I loved I believe...

I feel like the opening credits for Delicatessen helped establish the mood, and were pretty solid in their own right

I also liked the ones on the 2014 Godzilla


Though I guess those are more opening sequences than title cards

Usually the guys from Imaginary Forces always knocked it out of the park.

I was going to post the same thing. The ending credits were just as good and noticed that a lot of films copied the style of it.

I thought the opening credits for Watchmen was excellent. The movie was a piece of shit though.

I like it when the cast names appear when the actors are on screen. I'm thinking Good, Bad and Ugly does this, and the closing credits to The Magnificent Ambersons (read by Orson Welles, allegedly to bring to mind his radio persona) are particularly fantastic.

There's another one I'm blanking on where the closing credits has the actors appear - out-of-character, and smiling acknowledgement - one at a time. I like that style. It acknowledges the artificiality of the film without harming it in any way.

I always liked the opening credits from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

That Saul Bass Star Wars intro is cool! They should have used it for Rogue One, since they were trying to be different and all.

Not a movie, but I love the intro for Archer.
