Seemingly in the same week that Apple killed www.apple.com/trailers.
Those I actually watched when i was over at a friend's house and he has an Apple TV. They're redundant, because Youtube has them in abundance.

true, but the good thing about Apple trailers was that they displayed trailers for movies you'd never heard of up until then. It was a great way to find out about independent and foreign films that weren't on your radar. Of course youtube has them all, but you can't find a trailer for a movie you don't know exists.

I basically only have one option in my area as far as theater chains go, and that's Cinemark. It at least makes it easy to find show times and such. The only theater near me that isn't a Cinemark theater is about 45 minutes away.
I remember going to a movie theater out of town when I was younger and being completely thrown that there was a different opening before the movie. You mean not everyone is restricted to one theater chain?! A few years ago, I was visiting my sister, and we went to see a movie. In the last 15 minutes or so of the film, there was a power outage. Not knowing how long the power would be out, the theater offered free admission coupons for everyone to use. I had to argue for my money back because any coupon or voucher would be worthless for me when I returned home. They didn't seem to believe me when I told them I didn't have one of their theaters anywhere near me, but they finally reluctantly gave me a refund.
