Chloe Moretz quits all future projects

http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/news/wo...ovie-plug.html

It’s a sad day in Hollywood, as Chloe Grace Moretz has announced that she’s ‘pulled the plug’ on all of her upcoming movies.

In an interview earlier this week with The Hollywood Reporter, the young actress and model revealed that she will be stepping away from the spotlight for the foreseeable future in order to focus on herself, instead.

Chloe explained: ‘I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again. I’m realising that I can slow down.’

The 19 year old first entered the Hollywood scene at the age of seven, and has since gone on to star in over 50 films.

Bomb after bomb will do that to you especially at her age.

She was great in Clouds of Sils Maria and even that one where she was oh the trunk of a car. The Call?

Anyway, good for her I guess.

That's OK, the Fanning sisters will take 'em.

I remember reading an interview with her where she took to heart all of the internet comments about her looks and body. I think she wanted to get plastic surgery, or a boob job, or just lose weight all from the pressure of being in Hollywood and what they demand.

The fact that she was a child actor tells me her parents (or mom or dad as I'm not sure both parents are in her life) are to blame for stuff like this. They push these child actor kids and a lot of them turn out to be headcases when they hit their 20's.

So no hope for a Kick-Ass 3 then? Bummer.

Ironic since I think the big problem with the Carrie remake (besides the undeniable fact that it's a movie that totally didn't need to be remade in the first place) was that Moretz was way to pretty and normal appearing to be the target of an entire school's cruelty. Sissy Spacek was kind of weird-looking and awkward. Chloe Moretz was pretty and sweet and would have certainly been accepted with the popular kids and actually hit on by members of the football team in real-life High School.

She's one of the better young actress so that's a shame, but hell she's 19.

Here is the link from the interview where she wanted to get a full makeover when she was 16 years old:

I hear she is best buds with Hilary. Maybe she'll get a job on her staff like Kal Penn did with Obama.

I don't see anything wrong with how she looks at all. If she's just taking a break to find her self for a while I think that's okay and healthy. I think a lot of actors and actresses who get into the business early either burn out or wind up having a lot of issues with drugs or whatever else if they don't take some time for normalcy in their lives. Maybe she'll be back at some point.

Also that article makes it sound like she's just slowing down a little bit, not an amanda bynes-style "I quit acting!"

Sounds as if she's been down some dark paths already, so kudos to her for recognizing potential problems and trying to get a grasp. 50 films in 12 years, most as a minor ... That's fucking ridiculous. Shame on her parents/agents/handlers.

Chloe, we have some open space in Otter if you're looking for someone to talk to! Lots of amateur therapists there :D

Hopefully everything is ok, I think she's one of the better child actors that grew up, and it was always nice that she stayed relatively normal as far as the media goes.

Yea. She's been in a lot of good stuff. Hope she stays sane. But ready for the train wreck when she resurfaces after a couple years.

Let's hope not. Don't want a 19 year old possibly giving advice how to run the country. "Yo Hill, how about we get Beiber to be an ambassador?" NOOOO!!!

Good for her, if its what she feels she needs to do. Hasn't she had a lot of bs drama with the kardashian's too?

Watched a few seconds of Fifth Wave and say good riddens! Actually, I quite liked her...

I am not a Hillary fan by any means, but 19 year olds in charge would be better than Trump.

It's okay, they'll just give all her roles to Hailee Steinfeld.

She's had a huge output, so good for her if she recognizes that she needs a break. Better than burning out.

She seems like she's on that Lindsay Lohan track. Releasing shitty pop songs filled with sexual innuendo, partying with models. If she suddenly loses 20 pounds, write her off.

Sad. She's a good talent. If she needs time off... good for her. Better to run away for a bit to assess yourself than just crash and burn.

Glad she is focusing on herself. Smart call as it seems like she takes about every role. Time to stop and think about taking better roles and not everything that comes her way.
