Hope she's not another Amanda Bynes in the making.

Let Me In was pretty good.

Why do people compare her to Amanda Bynes? I don't see anything in the headlines about any drug use or partying at all.

Obviously there are things more important in her life right now than making movies/working. Hope she takes care of them and when and if she feels like to work again, hope she will be in a better state of mind.

Why? She still gets paid the same whether the movie tanks or not...and she hasn't been in that many bombs. Unless she's getting points off the back end (doubtful), the movie's success/failure doesn't affect her at all - unless she's not getting offered new work, and that clearly wasn't happening.

Hopefully now Ariel Winter will get the parts that Chloe would have gotten.

Yeah, kick that box body to the side of the road and give those parts to someone with tits and curves!

Maybe . . . and I know this is a CRAZY idea . . . but just maybe, she wants her movies to be good.

Maybe it affects her when her movies fail because she does not want to be in movies that suck.

Just a theory, but I have heard of people who care about the quality of their work.

Dang. So she effectively quit a The Little Mermaid live action remake? I'm sure they can recast. But that's a big project to quit.

She's been in some good stuff. I know her from Kick Ass and 30 Rock more than anything else. Not sure if she plans to hold out for some offers from Scorsese or what. But I'd imagine she could work herself into some high profile projects from celebrated directors.

Ariel Winter is hawt. I know her from Modern Family (which I stopped watching after everyone got annoying during the last couple seasons). Didn't know she's all grown up. Also saw something about breast reduction too. I could use that too.

She's a big Clinton supporter, so clearly there are drugs involved. ;)

Ummm, no. The version she was supposed to star in wasn't the live action remake of the Disney movie. It was just another movie version of the material being done by Universal so who knows how big it would end up being. It looks like there is another non-Disney version still coming out next year. I guess they might get some recognition until Disney produces their own live action version.

What's odd is that I feel like Ariel Winter is the one who should be taking a step back, since at least on the surface there's a lot of red flags, even beyond the ogling people do to her. But good for Chloe if she can take some time off and set her mind straight.

If you read her full comments, she simply says she's pulled the plug on all her upcoming movies and wants to take time and find the right roles for herself...she really doesn't say she's quitting Hollywood, just that she's going to be more selective.

That could be a smart move as she doesn't want to end up like most actors who make it big in teenage movies (horror, comedy, action) and become the flavor of the month. Very few actors can break through and get to the next level (Jennifer Lawrence comes to mind), but looking long-term is a tough thing to do in a business where you they are paying sometimes to make shitty movies.

Well, if any of them are still making movies in Hollywood, I'd love to know who they are. They certainly haven't been making any of the Hollywood movies I've been seeing.

Tom Hardy is a good start on that. Seems like that guy cares about his career mostly.

But also think about where you start flopping your dick down on. You may be a smart motherfucker but you're also a very close minded one who prefers to fall into into his own subjective tastes of comfort for modern films.

I was being sarcastic, but it yielded another good Solid Snake quote about me. I have to start compiling them.

Yup. Not to turn this into another thread about her, but I have the feeling that in a few years when I see a celebrity gossip headline "Former Child Star Checks Into Rehab", it'll be about Ariel Winter.

Fortunately her size is on her side with regard to alcohol intake.

I'm scared for the guy she invites to do blow off her tits. That dude is gonna OD fersher!

I feel like she has a good support system with the Modern Family cast and seems to have a good head on her shoulders herself. I think she'll be okay.
