That sucks. I know he has Final Cut in his contracts, so I assume this makes difficult to get top financing/big studio support for his films. I have and read all of his novels. They're awesome. He's one of my favorite writers and the fact that he can cross genres seamlessly is great.

Watched this last night, because of the tread bump. It was ok. Seemed Bradley had an extra chromosome, with how slow he was, then rips the fucking hood off of a car. The end gave me a good chuckle, wasn’t expecting that.

I think people get too caught up and focused on Vaughn being a comedic actor most of the time that they don't realize he's a big bastard. He's got weight to him, so making him have some unpolished fighting ability in this film has caught folks off guard. I think the fights were fine and brutal.

Zahler and Jeremy Saulnier are two “new” directors that have my interest. I like everything they’ve done so far with the exception of Murder Party.

He's a big guy, no doubt. But the fights all felt like they were first time rehearsals rather than the finished product. Kinda like what you see in really shitty amateur movies or bad fan films (same difference, I know).
