Close Encounters of the SHEEP Kind: Sci-Fi movie sheep
A Close Encounter of the First Kind: Visual sightings of an unidentified flying object.
A Close Encounter of the Second Kind: A UFO event in which a physical effect is alleged.
A Close Encounter of the Third Kind: UFO encounters in which an animated creature is present.
But what about ...

The basic rules:
Intro for first time players
General Rules
Game-Specific Rules
Unique Bonus: Reverse Sheep questions will generate additional bonus (negative) points according to the following:
1 Unique is awarded -20
2 Uniques are awarded -15 each
3 Uniques are awarded -10 each
4 Uniques are awarded -5 each
5+ Uniques are awarded -1 each
Slam Dunks {sd} Players have the power of multipliers in their hands. Each player is given five (5) Slam Dunks ({sd}) which they use by adding {sd} to the end of their answer. Your Slam Dunks have different effects depending on the question you use it on:
In Sheep questions, the {sd} adds 1 to the Multiplier.
In Reverse Sheep questions, you can use your {sd} to turn the question into a sheep question for you. However, if your answer is wrong, it does nothing.
Slam dunks cannot be stacked. Use one per question only or else they will be discarded. You cannot use two slam dunks to turn a Reverse into a Sheep and then slam dunk those sheep answers.
And another reminder: Please send in your answers to me via PM. Place only one answer per line, without numbers or the question itself. Do not forget your {sd}, and please place it after your answer (not before). Sometimes I notice and ask the player to re-send, and sometimes I don't, so to make things fair, if you forget to include them I won't be reminding you.
What is science fiction? From wikipedia:
I've intentionally limited the number of reverse questions so that differing interpretations of what science fiction is should not be an issue. Any movie with sci-fi as one of its genre’s in imdb, allmovie.com, or Wikipedia will certainly be correct (though you can’t peek to double-check your answer!). If an answer seems borderline to you, you’re taking a risk that it will be considered wrong. To be considered correct, answers must be theatrically released feature films. And as always, there are no wrong answers for the sheep questions!
Many movies have remakes, reboots, and sequels with similar (or identical) titles. Please make certain it is clear what your answer is.
I'm hoping for at least 20 players, so I'll leave this open for a few days. The weekend will be good for me for scoring and organization of answers and hopefully we can get this going early next week.

What is science fiction? From wikipedia:
Science fiction is a genre of speculative fiction dealing with imaginative concepts such as futuristic science and technology, space travel, time travel, faster than light travel, parallel universes and extraterrestrial life. Science fiction often explores the potential consequences of scientific and other innovations, and has been called a "literature of ideas." It usually eschews the supernatural, and unlike the related genre of fantasy, historically science fiction stories were intended to have at least a faint grounding in science-based fact or theory at the time the story was created, but this connection has become tenuous or non-existent in much of science fiction.
The Questions
- R: Name an actor/actress who reprised their role from the original Star Wars movie in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
- S: Stories about traveling through time have been popular. Name a movie with time travel .
- S: Sci-fi movies often show what life would be like in the future. Which movie shows a future that you would most like to live in?
- S: On the flip side, sometimes the future is shown to be a nightmare. Which movie shows a future that you would least like to live in?
- R: Big Sci-Fi blockbusters go together with July 4th as well as fireworks and barbecues. Since 1990, name a sci-fi movie that debuted in the US over the July 4th weekend and topped the domestic box office.
- S: Robots are a popular topic in science fiction, either as the main story or just being part of a larger world. Name a movie with robots.
- S: They don't come in peace. Name a movie where aliens invade Earth.
- S: But not all aliens are villains. Name a movie where the alien/aliens are friendly.
- R: Science fiction movies are capable of getting critical acclaim in addition to making big money. Name a sci-fi movie that was nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award.
- S: H.G. Wells is often referred to as the father of science fiction. What’s the best movie based on the writings of H.G. Wells?
- S: Since they can cost a lot of money to make, there’s a lot of risk for a studio to make a sci-fi movie. Name a big budget sci-fi movie that disappointed at the box office.
- S: But box office and quality are two different things. What’s a science fiction movie that you think is great but wasn’t that commercially successful?
- S: While they’re often colorful, science fiction movies were popular before color was common. Name a black and white sci-fi movie.
- S: As the closest planet to Earth, Mars has long fascinated people. What's your favorite movie about Mars ... about the planet and/or beings from that world.
- R: Last summer's Jurassic World was one of the biggest hits of all-time. Name a dinosaur that appeared in Jurassic World. [Appearances as names on maps, vials, pictures or as holograms do not count. You must name the dinosaur, not describe it. I'll use Wikipedia as the fact-checker for this. And no ... don't even think about answering (and arguing for) birds being a correct answer!]
- S: Recasting the classic Star Trek characters in a new series of movies was a gamble that paid off. Which "new version" of a character do you like the most? [You can answer either a character or an actor/actress, and I will match them together]
- S: If you could live the life of one science fiction movie character, who would it be?
- S: Sci-fi movies often have spectacular special effects. Which one has the best special effects?
- S: What’s your favorite science fiction movie of the last 10 years?
- R: Name a movie directed by George Lucas.

Awesome! I love that this is turning into the Summer of Sheep.
For question 20, are you accepting short films or films Lucas 2nd Unit or ghost-directed?

Bravo!
For the reverses, I did my best to close loopholes. And yeah ... I could totally imagine someone trying to give a bird answer to my dinosaur question
It could get tricky for #5 and #9 (if anyone tries to get cute about what is sci-fi). If I'm on the fence about an answer I may throw it out to the sheep. And the sheep may rule in a way that makes it easier for them to win
For both, there should be plenty of correct answers to choose from.
And for #20 ... it doesn't have to be sci-fi movie to be a correct answer (just theatrically released feature).
Like I said, I'm leaving the questions up for a few days so there isn't a rush. The weekend will be a good time for me to score and prepare reveals.

Don't forget to make it clear which version of a movie you mean (so I know whether you mean an original, remake, reboot, etc).

Answers sent.
Great questions, I was surprised at how many different movies came up in my answers, very few repeat answers.

I usually pull my answers out of my ass anyway. This should be good!
What about the digitally enhanced special editions of said home movies? I'm sure Alan Smithee can provide evidence of their existence.

Is it too late to submit answers? I missed the last 2 sheep games since I was on vacation.
