I can only imagine that, when the Sony execs watched it (in HFR or whatever), they realized what a poor film it really was, and cut off any potential plans to show it in 120fps more widely. Even here in Houston, there was no option for 120fps.

Anyway, you're probably right that being filmed in 3D was maybe one of the reasons for my complaints about the cinematography... I hadn't thought about that. All I can say is, in 2D, it doesn't look good at all.

It's just something we probably won't ever get used to since there will never be regular films being made this way. It was an interesting experiment. Oh, the Atmos sound track is incredibly good. So there's that.

After moving, our new place just doesn't have the space for the speakers I have, and I'm not inclined to buy new mini speakers anytime soon. So two speakers have been re-purposed for my turntable setup, and the others are just... not used.

Ah, that sucks. On all counts.

Most movies I don't really question a 3D option, but this one I don't really see a point. But yeah, either way, the movie isn't good.
